The location !! Right on the beach-side walkway near a wonderful public saltwater swimming center -- and an easy walk or bus ride to downtown! We appreciated the onsite restaurant, with inside & outdoor dining, and the lounge bar upstairs with beautiful views. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Chateau la chaire was a great stay. Our room was enormous and very clean and comfortable. We even had a little private terrace with sun loungers off our room. Food was great and the staff were very helpful

It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas.
It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas.
But there's not much to do. But there are plenty buses to get round.
The few restaurants are expensive with not a lot of variety to choose from. Head into town if you want decent food, not cheap either but at least you have a choice!

Too busy, Too noisy traffic, people wise overpriced pub meals at restaurant prices, and a lack of things to do. Have to keep relying, paying out for buses in order to explore areas, and have somewhere to go, things of interest to do.

Hotel was as described.
Hotel was as described. No air con in rooms was awkward as temperatures that week were 38C every day. A fan was provided but we took our own too which was just as well. Quite a bit of traffic noise from the beach front road outside as we had to have the window open wide each night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were OK but a little repetitive although you could ask for options not on the menu. Parking was an issue some evenings due to number of large workmen's vans taking up the spaces.
The whole experience was a pleasure, the team at the hotel/guest house were amazing, breakfast was served piping hot and without delay each and every day! They were so accomodating for us that in all honesty I wanted to stay longer. The location for me and my young family was amazing, just a few hundred steps to the beach for a swim or a bus stop to explore this little island. All I want to say is thank you for your efforts and making us all enjoy our stay.
The location and views of the hotel are as good as it gets if you are after a peaceful stay with amazing sea views. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to check out the pool due to the Great British weather. There is a lovely pub close by.
A shout-out to the lovely man at the reception who helped us arrange a taxi for an early-morning flight. Notably, this wasn't as easy as it sounds as there are fewer taxis on the island than you would expect.
B&B-style hotel (no breakfast) on a quiet street. Restaurant nearby and close to the shore. Take bus 1 or 1a (different stop, but a block past the roundabout) after the tunnel from downtown. I walked back to the bus station / main square on the way back to pick up the airport bus. Comfortable budget accommodation, and courteous front desk staff with enough brochures to assist the tourist as well. I would book again.
The staff were very attentive and lovely. We ate at the restaurant every night as we had elderly people that couldn’t walk much with us and the waitress we had most nights was brilliant. Rooms were great size and the hotel was in a great location with the beach right in front. Swimming pool was clean and the whole hotel was kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
The host (I think her name was Paula) was a star - very welcoming, predicted my needs before I even needed to ask - for me this hotel was the one bright light in a very tricky sudden ferry transit through Jersey in the middle of the pandemic. The room was lovely and warm. Highly recommended.
Everything, from tje staff, food, service, humour and just being made to feell welcome.
The hotel has spectacular views, but that asidd talking tp staff and their recommendations and friendliness was just what we needed after difficult times.
The view from the room was fantastic.
The staff were friendly, none of the “canned friendliness” from a chain hotel - this was genuine customer care and warmth.
Breakfast was amazing!
honestly, the place was just great. the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
forget anything else you may have read, some people are impolite, but not at this hotel.
