The lady who greeted us and looked after us during our stay was wonderful. Very friendly, chatty and had the cutest old man dog too (who was equally as friendly)
The breakfast that was included was brilliant too

Nice full English breakfast served with a smile. Dinner was superb and portion size was large! Several nice beers and ales on offer and plenty of Ciders too. Nice friendly chatty staff made the stay a pleasure.

Good location and accommodation although only booked for one night stay but would book another time if wanting accommodation in same area. Although trading also as a Restaurant did not have staff to provide any meals at time of my stay mid September 2022 but there is a cafe nearby and a few local takeaways and grocery stores within Sutton Bridge if required.

One of the best features was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The location was also ideal being close to the bridge and local transport. I was on a nostalgia trip having first been in the area 64 years ago.

People in Sutton Bridge were very friendly.
People in Sutton Bridge were very friendly. Did find it a bit noisy down by the marina, but that was to be expected. Added bonus was the road bridge being opened allowing a boat to come through.
Ate at The Anchor Inn - would recommend.

This is local to our parents but far enough away for us to feel like we were having a private getaway.
The locals are extremely friendly and it has a very pleasant and quaint country village feel. There's also a golf course just down the road for those people that like to whack a ball around.
We intend to come back in August and do some of the local sights that we haven't done since we were on school trips.

Friendly and efficient owner good breakfast and value for money. Free parking on road outside room. Room itself a bit dusty but it that down to just reopened after lockdown plus had to prop window open with vase and door handle to room loose. Just a few things that owner maybe should have checked and tightened up on. Location very noisy all night with drunken locals passing by and Hugh agricultural convoy at 2am but not anything owner could have done on that

We used Sutton Bridge as a central location to see the rest of the area. Sutton Bridge itself is very long and narrow but has a market place one day a week. The area is very flat but interesting. We ate mostly in the Anchor Inn as it has a wonderful reputation in the area for its food, we were not disappointed. The Anchor itself is a real community place, with plenty of people enjoying what it has to offer
Exceed our expectations.Normally stay in branded hotels/motels which are grossly over priced.
We couldn't have been made more welcome. The large room was great.Plenty of wardrobe space, large bed.Great facilities in the room.Breakfast was amazing. The choice and quality were on a par with those chain type hotels where the staff sometimes struggle to crack a smile.
I stopped at the boathouse to brake a long journey as I was on the way to a morning meeting in Brundle. The room was clean, warm, quiet and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was from 7 am suited me well, The full English had everything you could hope for on a plate. I will certainly use the hotel again.
The room was spacious and the bed was huge! There isn't a great deal to do in Sutton Bridge, but the pub (The Anchor) was excellent, despite the long walk. The shower was great as was the WiFi.
Tracey the Manager was a true diamond and went above and beyond. Breakfast was fabulous :)
The Hotel was easy to find on the main road through the Town. Very friendly landlady who looked after us well. We were pointed in the right direction for a local restaurant that was serving food on a Sunday evening. Breakfast was superb and plentiful.
Generally the room is good for a very decent price. Breakfast is nicely served and cooked. There is sufficient parking and the hotel has seperate access then the bar, so you are rather free.
Lovely comfy bed, spacious room, quiet at the back of the main building, safe parking in street and Sutton Bridge was a lovely little place. Housekeeping came every day.
A nice pub hotel. Car park is free and big enough. Single room is nice and cosy. Bed sheets and towels were clean. Breakfast was nice, traditional English breakfast.
