We stayed at Wheatsheaf Hotel, and it was superb. Swinton is a very small, remote village in the Scottish borders. It appears on this, our first visit, to be sleepy and have little to do, but this was in January so it is probably not a true reflection. There are, however, a number of bigger towns within a reasonably short drive. so a car is essential to get about.davidUnited Kingdom

Have stayed here 3 times and would do so again. The only thing that might put off some visitors is that Swinton is a very small village and the hotel is the only place to go.
