Lovely location in the middle of Dorset, very quiet. Just a couple of miles from Win Green, from where there are brilliant views of Cranborne Chase. The inn is lovely, the room was really nice (maybe a little small). Parking on-site. The Butcombe beer was excellent and the wine was reasonable (nice, tall glasses). Best was the evening meal, absolutely superb food. Friendly staff too. Would go again.

The room was spacious, clean and well presented. We had a warm and friendly welcome from our host Josie. There was plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available in the room. We had both dinner and breakfast here and they were both high quality, well cooked and very tasty. There was an extensive dinner menu to choose from and Josie was the perfect host throughout. Her warm personality shone through and she created a lovely atmosphere during the evening for all guests to the pub and the restaurant.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a retreat that offered accommodation and a spiritual meditation session with Tanya. We must say that our experience was nothing short of amazing. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and the atmosphere of the retreat was serene and calming.
The real highlight of our stay, however, was the meditation session with Tanya. Her guided meditation was truly transformative and left us feeling refreshed, centred, and at peace. Tanya's gentle and calming voice, combined with her deep knowledge of spiritual practices, made the session unforgettable.

Beautiful countryside for walking or running, albeit that one of the nearby paths through a bullock field has to be negotiated with prudence. The church is of considerable interest and picturesqueness.
