Wanda is a great host and looks after the apartments well. We liked being a few km from the coast , great views, quiet and a cooling breeze. If you get a taxi to the top of the Agia Irini gorge you can walk back direct to Spiti Mas. Not too far away (about 30 metres) is a lovely restaurant serving proper Cretan food with a smile.
Offering a traditional restaurant and a sun terrace, the family-run Porofarago is located in Sougia, just 30 metres from the entrance to Agia Eirini Gorge. Free WiFi access is available in all areas.

Location beautiful place. Lovely owner , attentive service good food . Great place to walk from . We walked from Omalos to Sougia over two days.

The hotel has made excellent use of every little bit of space. Gardens provide privacy and cool spaces. Some fascinating sculptures add to the uniqueness and atmosphere.

This place sits in a tiny village in the mountains close the the famous Elafonisi beach and is perfect for a romantic / family getaway. The owners greeted us for check in and were very personable and warm. They also provide a lovely homemade breakfast if desired. Unfortunately we only stayed one night this time but will be back next year!
