Rhodes is a well kept town but is very busy during the day.
Rhodes is a well kept town but is very busy during the day. The archeology and the museums are the main attraction. The bus service is superb and within walking distance of the old town. The weather in May was hot at around 28° and at times quite humid. The downside has to be the cobbled streets which are difficult to walk on.

Everything was wonderful. However, the problem is using public transport because you don't know the exact departure and return times of the bus. Some workers are very kind, but there are also workers who do not know English and are sometimes rude. Rhodes town exceeded my expectations.
Rhodes town exceeded my expectations. I had no idea how beautiful the town would be, the people are very friendly and it is super easy to navigate! There is plenty of choice for food, cheap and expensive. Be aware of the local scams of beer/cocktails. ALWAYS ask to see prices and how much the pints are. There are a couple of establishments who trick you into a 'medium' or 'large' beer and they bring out 2L pints costing ££££.

The setting is lovely with the walls and many restaurants and places to visit. Great for walking around if you have proper footwear for cobbles. An easy ferry ride to Symi. I enjoyed everything! Easy to get around, with beauty around each corner. Such an amazing place to go, with nightlife, shopping, history, friendly shopkeepers, family-friendly and kid-friendly places and near the newer metropolis. Also a lovely 15 minute walk from Rhodes Town, don't get the taxi and pay 10 euros when you have the best walk in the world along the illuminated castle. Also a great local bar/bowling ally across the street with cheap beer , sport on TV and pool.
