Wow, what a stay! We have spent the night in many places, but this is the first one where we felt 'at home'. Super friendly and helpful hosts. A very nice, spacious and clean room. Ample parking, nice surroundings and a beautiful house. We would have stayed longer but, with great regret, had to leave due to lack of availability which was not surprising. Thank you Jim and Bernadette.

Excellent staff, who were helpful, friendly and accommodating. Room was more than adequate, it was comfortable and clean. Good views around the location. Decent bar downstairs with entertainment one evening and good choice of beers at a good price. Another positive for us was that there was parking as we had a hire car. Overall an excellent stay and would come again.

John, the owner welcomed us with a big smile, a lovely cup of tea, coffee and bisuits. He showed us to our room. The room itself was very clean, cozy and had an ocean view. The was also equpied with everything a hotel room will be, with complementary coffee, tea and biscuits. He also recommended a few good places around the area. He asked what we want for breaksfast in the morning and offered me a vegetarian option. The breakfast was plentyful. Overall, the place is amazing and we had a really nice experience. We liked the peaceful setting with everything you need close by such as a places to eat and a local supermarket. A lovely beach was only 10 minutes away. When the sun was out we enjoyed playing the ball games provided and it was handy to have an onsight kitchen. The camp is in an excellent location, near enough to both Tralee and Dingle, (the home of a very friendly dolphin !! and a large Aquarium) the beach close by is beautiful and easily accessed. Lots of fun games for the children at the camp and plenty of safe area to run about in. There is also a pub around the corner within walking distance that serves very good food, so no pressures to cook if you want to completely relax !! There is a petting farm a short drive from the camp which is excellent and worth a visit!

The staff were exceptional, Audrey couldn’t do enough for us between arranging camping chairs and a loan of an iron! Tommy gave advice about where to visit and eat. The boys had great fun playing on the green, and eating toasted marshmallows from the fire in the (very unique) tepee. We enjoyed sitting around the fire chatting with the other adults - lovely relaxed friendly vibe. We will definitely be back!AoifeIreland

The owners welcome you with open arms and make you feel like one of their own. You will not be treated as a stranger at Railway Lodge. Waking up to the beach is also spectacular. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pod was spotlessly clean. The location is lovely and the campsite is quiet and completely safe for kids. Audrey does toasted marshmallows at the campfire for the younger ones. Ashes pub next door is a gem and their coffee shop is absolutely fab!
