Smooth check in from the friendly staff.
Smooth check in from the friendly staff. Asked for our two rooms to be on low floor, quiet & one for someone with mobility issues. All of these were as requested. Rooms were MASSIVE! Beds super comfy, rooms & bathroom spotlessly clean. Bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer, safe, iron and ironing board in all rooms!!! Plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases. Ate at the Bia & Co restaurant in the hotel and have to say the staff were very attentive and helpful with choosing food. The food was exceptional, very reasonably priced and the desert the best I've ever had! Bravo to the chef! The live entertain was awesome! We had an amazing night singing our hearts out. The bar staff and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast did not disappoint! A huge selection of cooked breakfast items, hot and delicious. Again tge staff were very attentive bringing us copious amounts of tea & coffee. Check out was smooth and again friendly staff on reception. There is a gym and pool at the hotel too but unfortunately didn't use it but the pool looked very inviting. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Claregalway Hotel & will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We have stayed here loads over the last 18;years never had a bad word to say about this hotel till now reception staff were not 1 bit friendly and made me to feel like a stranger , when my details should all have been in their system , also asked to pay up front ! I’ve never had this done before , bar staff were very young and in experienced , lady on reception for the dining was exceptional , hopefully this hotel will go back to its old ways of welcoming its former guests ,

We stayed in the hotel for one night.
We stayed in the hotel for one night. We were upgraded to the presidential suite which was a wonderful surprise as I was celebrating my graduation. The room was very spacious, comfortable and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. My gluten free full Irish breakfast was excellent. There was also gluten free muffins, scones, bread and a selection of cereal. I was very impressed overall and look forward to staying again.
This is a Wow! factor property.
Located not far from Galway, we enjoyed three nights at Claregalway Castle.
Our host was fantastic and made sure our stay was all that it could be. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast generous.
But even more, staying in the restored Castle with all its history was phenomenal.
Our host gave us access to view the ballroom, the tower and other parts of the Castle, where we could learn more about its history.
The building we stayed in is on the grounds of the Claregalway Castle, which is being refurbished. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Jerry, who greeted us each morning at breakfast, gave us a tour of the castle, which is spectacular! This B&B is about a 7 minute drive outside of Galway, which we wanted. It was quiet and very comfortable. The winds (which blew very consistently for our stay) lulled us to sleep at night. A lovely place!
This was just a quick stopover and only stayed here to sleep. We arrived late and left early. The property was easy to find. The room and bathroom were a reasonable size. There was free parking, however there wasn’t enough/other cars parked poorly (perhaps the parks were a little tight). The hotel felt old-school luxurious with the twin staircases, but there is also an option for an elevator which we never had to wait long for.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. We stayed in one room with two adults and two teenagers and still felt like we had room to spread out in the family room. It was very well located and had it not been rush hour, we would have been very well placed to get into Galway. There was a few stores located directly around the hotel so we were able to walk and do a bit of shopping which was very nice.
The shower had a good bit of pressure.
It did not make up for the dirtyness, the dogs that sent us to bed barking and woke us up barking, the unpleasant, stern Caroline, the husband that yelled at her to “SHUTUP” when she asked him a question, how we were not allowed our breakfast time preference bc of other guests as the dining area was to small to accommodate the guests….. so much more.
The castle tower and the farmhouse was from the 1400 and has been very well restored! There is so much history in the hotel! The rooms are not in the tower but on the newer building around the premise. The place is vast and our rooms were facing east, we were greeted by the morning sunlight! Beds were comfortable and toilet were clean!
this was the best place I’ve ever stayed!! The beds were excellent “very comfortable” the continental breakfast was more than enough and very fresh, the rooms were so beautiful and so was the view. We got A+ service in every way! and the staff, “especially the castle keeper” was just wonderful in every way, we will absolutely be back!
Staff in the Claregalway are a credit to the hotel. All very friendly and helpful from receptionist to restaurant staff, cleaning and leisure centre staff. Food in the restaurant for evening meals and for breakfast was exceptional. Rooms are very clean . Leisure centre also excellent and clean. We will definetly be staying again.
The staff Dione and his team were warm and welcoming. I loved the feeling of being at home in the Castle. The accommodation was clean and neat. Views were beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to stay at the Claregalway Castle
Location was great outside the city but close enough for a day visit. Room was fantastic. We had a family room that included a separate sitting room and bedroom. Bar, dinner and breakfast all great
The pool was great and the staff were mostly friendly. The food was lovely could do with a bit more choice but what was on the menu was lovely.the rooms were large and very clean
Beautiful buildings with antiqùe furnishings. Lovely surrounds. Staff very welcoming and short walk to hotels. Free car parking on premises. Very good continental breakfast.
Room so clean
Beds so comfy
Area at end of hall with couches and tables where u could relax with coffee and read
