Austin was a very gracious and most helpful host. He welcomed us and showed us around our lodging even though our plane was delayed so we arrrived later than expected. He had prepared the room for a chilly night very thoughtfully. The bed and the room were comfortable and cosy; the bathroom spacious and the shower good and easy to use. He brought us a warm, fresh-baked scones in the morning with butter, jam, good strong coffee and tea and a friendly good morning - a wonderful start to the day. All in all a perfect spot to stop the night, feel warm and welcomed and ready to explore.

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet.
Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet. There’s not a lot of bars and restaurants but it’s cosy and perfect for a quite night away. We stayed in the silken Thomas and ate and drank in their adjoining restaurant the food was lovely cocktails were ok. Would definitely stay again
Everything!!! The room was amazing, so big & having a "bunk bed" in it made my 2 friends & I feel like we were 12 again & on a school trip!!! We come down every year at Christmas to do shopping at Kildare Village, but this is the first time we've stayed over, but it won't be our last as the hotel is perfectly located, with the added bonus of free on site parking at the hotel!!
Very cosy & comfortable room, really lovely room details and decoration. Coffee machine is a lovely touch and bed was very comfortable. We had our dinner in Silken Thomas, drinks in Cunninghams, and breakfast in Firecastle - all were brilliant options! Kildare village is a 5 minute drive away, and all of the restaurants above are within a few minutes walk of the hotel.
Cosy, comfortable, cottage. One bedroom & bathroom upstairs and one bedroom & bathroom downstairs. Rural aspect and about 15 minutes drive from Kildare. Lovely, thoughtful owner. Look for the Fearmore sign on the property as google maps tends to take you to the house prior.
We spent our first two nights in Ireland at ‘The Old Goat House’ and don’t let the name fool you, it is so elegant. It was perfect in every way. The garden was a dream and the friendliness with beyond anything we expected
Location was prefect especially if you want to shop at kildare village, the accommodation was perfect very clean ,has everything you need for a perfect getaway. bed was an extra bonus guaranteed a great night sleep
Beautiful room, spacious, clean, good lighting, very comfortable. The town is lovely, with lots of good shopping and food options! The staff were very helpful. It was also conveniently close to the train station!
Lovely hotel and rooms, so clean, spacious and comfortable right in the centre of town, walking distance from Kildare outlet. For excellent in the restaurant and staff friendly! Booked for next year already!
It was a really nice stay there. The location is great, in the heart of city center and very close to Kildare Village.
The room was lovely, very clean and comfy.
Would stay there again whenever I visit here.
Austin was incredibly friendly and was so nice to make us some delicious scones for breakfast. Very nice place with a convenient location as we were on our way from Dublin to the west of Ireland
Great hotel. Fantastic location for convenience to kildare Village a short 10 minute walk. Also a 1 hour coach journey from Dublin City centre. Staff were all so helpful and friendly
Very welcoming and friendly staff. The food was excellent. The location is perfect for Kildare Village Outlet. Felt very relaxed and comfortable. Will definitely be back again.
Love this hotel. Great value for money. Lovely location in centre of town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Love the food too. Have stayed many times and will again.
Great hotel located above an artisan food shop. Brilliant location to the national stud and Kildare village. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. I would recommend
