The host was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in North Iceland.

The host is very nice
Lovely property very cosy and warm. The surrounding areas are beautiful. The hot tub was perfect after a day of exploring. We made use of the cooking facilities for the week this was really handy. Perfect location for exploring the north.

The guesthouse is wonderful, we really loved it.
The guesthouse is wonderful, we really loved it. Very cosy and clean room, nice beds, great shower. Microwave, tea facilities, bathrobes for the hot tub. The cute horses on the land. The wonderful hot tub, sitting there at night under the stars waiting for the Northern Light was a magical experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast very good and the staff was so nice to us. We are vegetarian and they made scrambled eggs especially for us without bacon, thank you so much! We regretted having to leave, but when we are in the area again we will definitely come back!
This was the only place we stayed 2 nights at during our 10-day road trip around Iceland and it was very nice. Quite roomy, like an apartment. Breakfast was excellent and the outdoor hot tub was fun. We needed a break after a horribly icy day on the Ring Road in the Highlands where we didn't have the proper tires to tackle the road, but somehow made it with the help of a local who had a shovel so we could dig out of a snowdrift during this mid-October winter event.
The hotel’s location was more than excellent: close to Godafoss waterfall , relative close to Húsavík and to Myvatn Lake with all the attraction and a very good point to start the Diamond Circle. In my opinion better than Akureyri.
There were a few tourists but everything was set for us. Nothing was missing.
We arrived late and an envelope with our key was waiting for us at the reception.
The breakfast was also very good.
We’ve stayed at many small cabins around Iceland and this one exceeded our expectations. It’s very clean, well appointed, and cozy. The owners have taken care to attend to the small details. We visited in early October and the cabin was warm and well insulated. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The cabin is behind the owners house but is very private and has a nice view of the surrounding area.
+ beautiful location, nice little cabins
+ two bedrooms one with double bed, one with bunk beds
+ hot tub! (Tho we didn’t use it I’ll admit)
+ well equipped small kitchen
+ great shower, powerful & hot
+ great food at Dalakofinn cafe nearby (5 mins drive away)
+ close to Godafoss (15 mins), Snow Dogs (10 mins) and Myvatn (40 mins) as well as Husavik (30 mins)
++++ we saw northern lights!
Of all the 7 places we stayed at in Iceland this had the friendliest staff. Easy booking & out. A huge complex with ample parking. Good sized room & shower.
Nice breakfast, with cooked sausages, scrambled eggs & bacon. Lovely continental selection also & nice breads to eat or toast.
Note that this place is private school for 9 mths and available for summer holiday bookings only.
The room we stayed in was a good size, clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant one night, which we thought was tasty and reasonably priced, and served promptly. The breakfast selection was good. The hot tub is great, and a nice way to meet people. Parking is easy. The Myvatn area is very worth visiting.
Everything. Room is super clean and cosy, very nice paintings. Comfortable bed and pillows. BEST BREAKFAST WE HAD IN THE WHOLE OF ICELAND! Eggs, salmon, freshly baked apple jam cake. Dolce gusto coffee :) Very friendly and smiling owners! Cute dogs. Beautifull horses. Thank you for this experience!
The guesthouse is clean and comfortable. There is a kitchen there for self cooking. The heating pool outside is very warm. The surrounding is quiet and there is few horse near to the guesthouse. Short drive 20min to the Myvatn lake to see the northern light.
One of the best accommodations we had on Iceland. Everything was perfect, nice hosts who baked homemade treats for us. The house was the biggest one we had all of the time on our Iceland vacation. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 11/10.
Conveniently located when traveling North. Kind staff, great breakfast and comfortable room. Nice tea and coffee available. Fun decor, books and other Icelandic info. Hot tub outside but we didn’t stay long enough to use it. Friendly dog on property!
The welcome was very friendly, the rooms are sweet and shiny clean. The breakfast was superb and the location perfect for daytrips.
Extra bonus: the hot tub in the garden.
If we'll visit iceland again, we will definitely come back!
The host is charming and kind. Ready to offer suggestions for the area. It's a very convenient spot for the ring road - just down the road from Goðafoss, and close enough to Mývatn to be a good base for exploring that area.
Lovely hotel with great costumer service. The room was big and the decor was super charming. In the evenings we sat at one of the salons with a cup of tea and was so relaxing. They also have a hot tub outside.
Nice location between Akureyi and Myvatn. Apartment was clean, with quiet surroundings. Friendly, lovely dog greeted us on arrival. Got lucky and was able to view faint Northern Lights outside.
Breakfast was exceptional with tons of choices that were refilled quickly. It is in a good location for taking in the sights around Myvatn. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Very comfortable cottage, with everything we ever needed during our trip through Iceland. Hooks, shelves and plugs in all the right places, exactly where you need them.
