The location was great for exploring the countryside and small hill towns. Monique, one of the hosts, gave us ideas for things to do: a loop drive through beautiful country to visit 4 hill towns, a nice walking path nearby, and a tour and tasting at a local, historic winery. She also gave us dinner suggestions and made reservations for us. Monique and Silvana served us a delicious breakfast. The historic house was beautifully renovated.
La Mafalda in Oltrepo was a last-minute booking for us when another lodging cancelled our reservation. We were more than pleased with the substitution and would gladly come again!

Lovely location & grounds. Great reception from the 2 guys when I arrived by motorbike and they opened up the garage for me park. Great. After a long ride it was great to be here and rest. Room had a small balcony to enjoy the sun. Lovely old hotel with history.

We loved everything about it. First, the people. The owners are amazing and lovely people. Lovely appointed rooms. Beautiful grounds and pool. Just amazing. The highlight was the dinner with wine pairing. The wine is excellent and the food was one of the best meals we had in Italy ever.
