The hotel has great service and accommodated our late arrival after midnight. The rooms were clean and the staff members were very courteous. We booked rooms that included breakfast and after selecting our options the night before, they delivered the food to our room at the decided time.

Jeonju is a great place to visit for the traditional Hanok Village. Everything is in an easily walkable area if you stay in the visit or come in for the day. There are plenty of things to see, including “hidden” areas one of the free tours will show you.

Jeonju has a nice preserved hanok hood, however, it is clearly gentrifying quickly and prepared for massive tourism. The rest of the city has little interest. One afternoon to walk in the hanoks and dine should be enough.

Really neat experience to get an idea about traditional Korean architecture and clothes. Obviously, the town has modernized to have coffee shops, etc., but the buildings in the city center have been maintained in a traditional style, and the popularity of renting the traditional Korean clothing lends a unique atmosphere.
We visited the Shrine, highly recommended. Nothing exotic, but good information about that time in Korean history and some of the events that made Jeonju what it is.
Some really great restaurants, look up best places to eat in Jeonju, we tried 3 out of the top 10 and were super pleased with all 3.
The traditional Hanok was a unique place to stay that was an inexpensive way to experience a little of what traditional homes were like. Obviously converted to hotel-type rooms, but the idea was there and it was a fun way to spend a weekend.
Highly Recommend!!

This was a really great opportunity to experience a historic aspect of South Korea. I enjoyed staying in a Hanok and I did a photoshoot in the Hanbok. It was like walking around on the set of a period piece.

Jeonju Hanok Village is a really nice place to visit, don't hesitate to get lots in the small narrow streets. Take half a day to visit Jamal Mural Village, it worth it for the paintings on the houses.
To eat I would recommand Jeondong Ddeokgalbi and Veteran restaurants, first one for bibimbap and 2nd for noodles and dumplings.

Nice mid sized city with a bit of open space along the river...
Nice mid sized city with a bit of open space along the river. Jeonju Hanok Village is worth a visit. Real touristy place but loads of people dressed in Hanbok so great place for people watching. Plenty of touristy souvenir shops if thats your thing. Plenty of Westeners and Chinese tourists dressed up in Hanboks which added to the people watching experience.
It was a great time at this wonderful place. Owner was very polite, sent all details and instructions we needed in advance. Location was a huge plus since it was very quiet but also close to Hanok Village.
We had everything needed, house was well furnished, made with love and attention to small details like variety of kitchen utensils, air humidifier/purifier, capsule coffee machine, Dyson for hair (who cares about safe drying and styling), additional chargers and USB for phones, music speaker, etc.
This was our first time staying in a hanok, and we we were very impressed with the cleanliness and hospitality we experienced. The hosts could not have been nicer, and they went out of their way to accommodate us, going above and beyond what we expected. The little courtyard was beautiful, and the location was great. While the rooms were smaller than typical hotel rooms, they were large enough to be comfortable. We had never slept on hanok style bedding before, but we found it quite comfortable.
We enjoyed sleeping in a traditional house in the hanok village. The host was very warm and helpful, the property has a nice garden where you can relax and enjoy yourself and I slept very well on the futon. There is floor heating for cold nights, and an AC unit in case it's a warm day. Guests have access to a kitchen all the time and breakfast is self-service in the morning. The property is situated right in the hanok village of Jeonju, close to all the restaurants, shops, attractions.
lovey stay at the traditional hanok house in Jeonju. The owners were incredibly accommodating, even providing a 110V transformer she borrowed from her friend so that we can charge our electronics from United States. the room and bathroom were clean and we slept very well. our family enjoyed sitting around the front porch of the house seeing the swallows flying around. We also had one of the best meals in South Korea just next door to the property. a lovely guesthouse.
[Staff] Albeit the language barrier, the owner was very accommodating. She was able to attend to our queries and needs and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit to Jeonju.
[Location] The hanok was perfectly located near the tourist spots of Jeonju. Most of the tourist sports were walking distance from the hanok.
[Accommodation] The hanok was clean and comfortable. It was a great experience to stay in a Korean traditional home.
The host and his wife were very nice, they gave a lot of good recommendations for jeonju and they loved to help with everything they could ! :)
The room was clean and well equipped, quite enough and was as comfortable as a hanok can get (for me that was enough and better than expected) .
Overall, it was a great experience and i would definitely recommend you to choose this hanok if you want to experience a hanok in jeonju .
It was central location to the Hanok village! You don’t even have to leave and everything is in walking distance! It was well kept and clean as well! The owners made a lovely breakfast for us with fresh fruit and eggs! One of us ended up getting some stomach sickness and the owner helped us find a pharmacy and bought ion water, felt very motherly! She helped us get into a taxi as well! Lovely place and people! Thank you!
Whats there to say? the place is very classy Hanok a bit smaller compared to the one I stayed in Busan for cheaper but being inside Jeonju hanok village pays for it area is quiet and private comfy enough that one sunny day I slept on the porch and loads of things to see around Nambu market is just a 15mins walk, if you visit please say hello to the pet fish bunggeo(?) just swimming inside a stone bowl outside!
Location location location, right in front of the hanok village, less than a 5 min walk. The property was amazing. Front desk was very helpful and nice, the lobby was a great place to sit and relax. They have a hollys coffee right in the lobby too. The rooms were incredibly spacious, very comfortable beds too. Overall highly recommend if staying in jeonju.
The owners are adorable. The hanok was lovely, with clean and modern bathroom, AC which worked perfectly well and sleeping on a futon was way better than expected. Its location is perfect, as it is in the quite area of the hanok village.
Overall very good value for money. If I ever go back to Jeonju I will definitely sleep in Sarangroo again.
Fantastic location, right in the middle of the Hanok village- a great base from which to explore Jeonju. A traditional Korean Hanok house, but with a well fitted-out bathroom and TV and fridge. The property was very clean. The host is very thoughtful and helpful and communication was great. We had a lovely stay at this property.
The cafe was great. Within walking distance of good hanbok rental places for Hanok Village. Amazing cafe nearby: exit hotel, turn left, walk straight, turn left, walk down the road towards Hanok Village, cafe is 3F on the left with the heart decor.
Strategic location, located literally at the center of the hanok village. Near to bus stop too. If you come to Jeonju by bus from seoul, the bus station also not very far from the hanok village. With taxi only cost 8000KRW.
Very beautiful Hanok centrally located in Jeonju‘s Hanok village. Facilities are modernized and clean. The traditional Korean bed was very comfortable (at Hanok Hyeyum) in our opinion
The location was in the Jeonju Hanok Village which made it very convenient.
The host was very friendly and helpful. Even helped us to book a cab to the train station.
Nice affordable accommodation in Jeonju! Just a short walk to the Hanok Village. Simple breakfast is available and nice artistic touches to the space. Thank you!
Walking distance to Hanok Village. Convenience store and Jeonju Chocopie right across the street. Very nice hanok. Clean. Lovely cat. Friendly and helpful host.
