We stayed for one night on our way from Oaxaca city to Chiapa de Corzo. For this purpose the hotel is absolutely fine. The room and bathroom are dated but clean, and the air conditioning was great. In the patio there is a restaurant/café that serves Mexican and international dishes. It is open between 8.15 and 23.00 so if your room is on the patio side you will hear some music but we were not bothered. All in all very good price for what you get.

Salina Cruz is a very peaceful place offering some beaches...
Salina Cruz is a very peaceful place offering some beaches where surfing can be performed. It was a tiny seaport that grew up due to the oil refinery, not really recommended as a tourist destination by itself since there are limited facilities, with lot of eateries but very few good restaurants, one of them being Santa Julia inside the Misión de San José Hotel. Many secondary streets are in need of maintenance or not paved, although main avenues are in more or less good condition. Most of the traveling here has to do with oil or navy issues.

Salina Cruz has a Walmart , shopping center and movie theater. There are some really pretty beaches just about 5-10 miles outside the city limits of Salina Cruz. I went to Playa Azul. To get there is a 3km drive down a sand and gravel road. The beach has people that will sell you beverages and make food. The beach is very pretty and not very developed and it's really deep 200-300 yards with a huge jutting rock.

Rooms and lobby are a bit dated, the pool area and the upper floor have obviously recently been renovated and are much nicer/comfortable. Price-Value-Ratio could be good but the service by the owner (via messages in Booking.com) and the receptionist was very bad and unfriendly. Theo (the kitchen staff) was super nice and really lovely. Owner and receptionis tried to blame Theo for the structural comunication problems the hotel has (for example: reception staff was only available from 9:30 am to the afternoon).ManuelGermany

They sell bottled water, sodas and snacks in the lobby. There is a secured parking area provider for tenants. The hotel is very quiet at night so you can rest well. There is a designated area for smokers. The staff are very friendly. The room was very clean and fresh. The linen is changed every three days, however, you can request it be changed daily if you like. No alcohol is allowed in the hotel.SextonUnited States

When we arrived the young man at the reception was very helpful and friendly. His English was also really good. The air con in the room is superb, the room gets nice and chilled in no time. The bed was also comfortable. We stayed here for one night as we were just passing through Salina Cruz, before continuing our journey the next day. We would stay at this hotel again if I ever find myself travelling through this part of Mexico again

They work hard to keep this hotel comfortable and clean. Salina Cruz is a horrible place, dirty and messy. But thankfully staying in this hotel allowed us to visit the near beaches outside Salina Cruz and do laundry.
