What a gem! We have stayed at many unique hotels and bnbs around the world, but this is by far our favorite. The apartment was immaculately clean. There was so much space for our family, and everyone was very comfortable. All the amenities and comforts of home; we were thankful to make use of the extensive kitchen. The location was also excellent. We explored the nearby town of Gorinchem, which is an absolute gem. We also took day trips to Kinderdijke, Gouda, and Amsterdam. Amsterdam was a little far, but we only drove part way and parked in a p&r that had metro access straight into the city center. Highly recommend this listing for a perfect getaway in The Netherlands! After all of the exploring we did, the kids said their favorite part was staying at the windmill!

Vuren is an unimaginative and IMHO unattractive little town...
Vuren is an unimaginative and IMHO unattractive little town at the banks of the Waal, dominated by an enormous factory. However: staying there is fine since the environment has lot's of things to see and views to admire.
