The breakfast was ok, I guess. The standard Norwegian "one-type-of-cheese-and-ham only", one standard type of bread, but also yogurt and fresh fruit and croissants. Decent coffee. Free parking in backyard (limited space).
Located a 12-minute walk from Fredrikstad Train Station, this hotel offers on-site restaurants. Both WiFi and sauna access are free. Fredrikstad’s Old Town is a 10-minute drive away.

Fantastic location in a very beautiful part of the city (on a small island). Just next to wonderful parks (great for our football-loving family), water, wooden-boat-harbour and -workshop and the "Chapel of Hope" and Fredrikstad museum, just amazing. In the midst of great green areas and old fortification buildings and other ancient buildings (the particular building we stayed in was built in to a great stone wall. Wonderful walks, views, close to free city ferry (electrical and free - how great isn't that!! Take a tour through the whole city in which the river flows). Our family appreciates shared kitchen facilities and the dining area was beautiful. Note that you share bathroom with others (very good shower!!). Some negative aspect may be that the windows in our room could not be closed =), but since it was summer we needed it open anyway. BUT - be prepared to suffer some noise if the very large wooden tables outside get occupied with local youth in the summer evenings.

It is a great place to visit during the summer, with lots of people in town and at the restaurants by the pier promenade. The city center is quite compact, so you can walk from the railway station in one end, to the football stadium in the other end, in about 25 minutes. The city is by the ocean, so there are a lot of beaches and places to swim just outside the city proper. The nightlife is quite good too, especially during weekends.

Small city that you could easily see in a day.
Small city that you could easily see in a day. In winter it offers a very relaxing and peaceful getaway, and an opportunity to explore the tourist sights without the crowds. Gamlebyen (old town) was my favourite, offering cafes, boutiques, and history. It is very easy to walk around the city and also jump on the free ferry that runs along the river every 15mins.

Rubbish stay in Quality Hotel Fredrikstad, major building...
Rubbish stay in Quality Hotel Fredrikstad, major building works going on without prior notice when booking, only with a day to go when too late to cancel did the hotel advise of building works and inconvenience in hotel. Plus room was too hot, with no adequate ventilation other than small window, and response was it will take hours for the room to adjust. To top it off I found live electrical wires from the broken desk lamp below the desk, fortunately I spotted them before i put my feet under the desk (risk of electrocution from a mains cable)..
We had a corner apartment with nice light and gentle cross breezes to keep air circulating. All the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. It’s so nice to have a place that feels like home rather than a traditional hotel, there’s so much more room. Many restaurants, bakeries and stores just steps away. Close to the bus station.
The apartment was amazing, felt like I was at home,
comfortable furniture and amazing location. for the price
too, it was amazing especially when splitting it with two
guests it comes to a better price than every hotel
in the city which is a great thing as hotel rooms are
only a bed, tv and bathroom whilst this place had
everything
Beautiful location. Check-in was efficient. very friendly staff.
We had reserved a family suite - stunning apartment - beautifully designed. Quiet and private location.
Hotel located within old, walled-fortified village - stunning area with an incredible history
Comfortable and roomy living accommodations with modern appliances.
The location, ascetics, cleanliness and the autonomy. You receive hotel information via a text msg day before your arrival and it makes it feel like your returning to one of your apartments rather then a hotel which for some might be a preferred way (was for me).
Highly suggest 10/10
the rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful, the hotel was very clean and location convenient to everything. the hotel receptionist was very hospitable and recommended several tourist things for us to do. she was so helpful with transportation and other questions.
Gamlebyen is the (small) old town (1600 or so) within Fredriikstad. On Saturday busy with day tourists. The hotel is fully in style of the old town, yet very comfortable. Good breakfast facilities (Vaerk) and plenty of restaurant available.
Most beautiful hotel and exquisite room in historical ambience in Gamle Byen in Fredrikstad. Extremely friendly and helpful staff both with the bike and the tour planning. Good breakfast at the close by collaborating cafe.
Perfect location, friendly staff, OK breakfast (additional cost), good shower, a lovely single room.
The old town, the one-minute free ferry to the Fredrikstad city, the museum, the cobbled streets, walls and moats.
The lady at the reception was very helpful, she bothered to call another hotel to check if the (other) parking garage was okay to be used. She was very friendly.
Nice hotel with a high standard. Excellent staff, bar and breakfast. Was perfect for a business trip. the location is excellent, near town center and the river
