Great location - only a few mins walk to the lake and center of town. Plenty of options for local café, pubs and restaurants nearby. Our room had an outdoor balcony with a great view of the surrounding mountains and we really appreciate the parking availability at no extra cost! Felt very welcomed by the staff. The chalet had everything we needed. It was clean and very bright. Surroundings are very well kept and nice. Location is either good or bad depending on needs. Its a bit further away from town centre.

The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians
Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around
Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

We were amazed by the location near the lake with clean air, nice ambience in the Hotel Restaurant, with good food!
I should have reserved 2 or 3 nights there. We booked 3 rooms all of us enjoyed it. Can swim, water activities and more.

Wanaka is the most beautiful place to visit
The views of the lake and surrounding area are really stunning. It’s seemed a really peaceful place with just enough to do. Plenty of eating out places to choose from and many activities and places to visit. We will definitely be back.

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.
Very Friendly Hosts that came round to welcome us. the property is a self contained annexe to the house and private with its own patio and BBQ. felt very homely after travelling round NZ staying in motor inns and hotels. property had good nformation about things to do in wanaka and books on NZ. it had a washing machine so we were able to do our laundry (at no extra cost). It had all the facilities you would want. was so good we wanted to stay for a few more days, but unfortunately it was already booked.
This was one of the nicest places we have stayed. The suite exceeded our expectations and Ron was so friendly and helpful. The apartment was very well appointed and tastefully decorated. Ron and Helen put a lot of thought and care in their place and it really showed. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast plentiful, the shower and tub so nice! The location was perfect for walking to town and seeing the Wanaka Tree. Such a beautiful area! We highly recommend!
A large apartment with a stunning bird’s eye panoramic view of Wānaka. Don’t be discouraged by its location away from the lake or the steep driveway, it is a gem. Noelene and Bill are delightful and their full English breakfast is delicious. It was a special treat to have salmon that Bill caught the previous day and Noelene’s homemade plums and peaches. We felt privileged to be invited into their home for a tour of there unique and beautiful home.
Great studio living with everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. Bonuses were: the equipped kitchen (hob, pans, toaster, kettle, microwave, small fridge), I was thinking a small kitchenette but was happily surprised; the private lawn space to chill outside; the great shower water pressure. We knew the location wasn't in town but that suited us fine. I would choose this accommodation again over a hotel or lodge in the same price range.
The rooms were very comfortable, modern and clean. They seem to use a central heating system rather than individual heaters, so the room was kept warm without becoming stuffy. The onsite restaurant, Amigos, is really handy to have and appeared popular with guests as well as non-guests. The location is excellent, walking distance to the lake front, with plenty of parking available behind the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
The motel was exactly what we needed, we were a parent and two kids there for a winter skiing holiday. The motel was quiet, warm, clean and had the basic kitchen facilities we needed, to have a breakfast or make a snack. It represented good value for money. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The standard of this hotel was much higher than we expected. The room was immaculate, well furnished and spacious.
There was plenty of parking and only a 5 minutes drive from the lake front and the famous tree.
The guy in reception was friendly and helpful.
The rooms in the hostel were cosy and affordable, and very clean. There was a minor issue with my room, but it was not the fault of the hotel, and the staff were very quick to address the issue. The bar and restaurant were also very good and modern.
Self contained cottage was cute, compact, cosy and clean.
Steve gave us a friendly welcome ably assisted by his canine companion, Beau. The friendly vibe was duplicated at the local hotel where we were greeted as if we were regulars.
Lovely, private apartment at the back of the host's property. Around 20-30mins walking distance to the city centre, which is a beautiful walk. The street is safe and quiet. We enjoyed our stay there and can highly recommend.
The apartment was warm, spacious and very comfortable. Loved the gas fireplace. The kitchen had a good supply of utensils etc so made cooking very easy which was great after being in a hotel and eating out for a week.
Hotel is located just a short walk down to the lake. Across the road is where the food trucks are, which is actually a great alternative for an evening meal. Room itself is clean and warm, if a little small.
Excellent place to stay if your skiing. Short walk to the hotel and the apartment had everything you need. Very clean, warm and comfortable. Will come back again. Many thanks!
