Slubice lies on the Polish/German border,about 85 kilometres east of Berlin. It's very much a tourist town,a magnet for Germans who cross the border to buy cigarettes,vodka and cut-price petrol. As a result,there are loads of duty-free shops and supermarkets.Other than this,it's a pleasant little town which boasts a few historical monuments and enjoyable riverside walks. IF,whilst there,you want a good meal,look no further than Douane,slap-bang in the centre of town.

Very much recommend to take the breakfast option - well worth it. Nearby - an inexpensive but a good place to eat that is open 24/7, or if you just want to play it safe - also a McDonalds relatively close. Some of hotel staff speaks English, those who do not are very happy to use translation on the phone. VERY LARGE private parking lot, not even visible from the street.LukasLithuania

Overall, hotel is good for short stop, then traveling to of from Germany. Germany border is only 3 km. Slubice is nice town.
