Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta, hotel in Foz Tua

Located in Ervedosa do Douro, 29 km from Douro Museum, Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

Fantastic location with beautiful landscaping. The vineyard is filled with wild flowers at this time of year and the walk down to the river to catch the boat was very special. Breakfast was very good - particularly the freshly squeezed orange juice (I'd guess from the estate) and the snack sandwich we had on arrival (roast beef) was AMAZING! Very helpful staff. I highly recommend.

Hotel Rural da Quinta do Silval, hotel in Foz Tua

Located in the famous Douro Valley, a region known for its rural charm and exquisite wines, this hotel offers stunning views of the surrounding hills, the vineyards, and the Pinhão River.

Spectacular location in the middle of the Douro valley, the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful and is constantly running around doing her best to make her guests feel welcome. The wines are superb and I wish we could have brought some home! Breakfast was good as well and the structure is nice and well maintained.

Dois Lagares House, hotel in Foz Tua

With mountain views, Dois Lagares House is situated in Pinhão and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area.

1) the location is super convenient for those travelling by car (there is a private parking), but also for those like us travelling without it - the train station is easily accessible by walking; 2) the views are stunning, especially from the living room where they serve breakfast; 3) the room was spacious and just adorable with big windows, a lot of light (and blackout curtains), a very comfortable bed and lovely terrace; 4) the owner organizes tours to their vineyards and a wine storage / mini-museum (on prior arrangement) and it is a must do even of it's the only thing you have time to do in Pinhaõ; 5) the breakfast is modest but everything is of high quality and it's difficult to stay hungry and again, the breakfast room is so adorable that it's pleasure to have breakfast there.

We had the one bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking the Duoro River. It had a very nice kitchen and bathroom. The lounge had a twin bed which might have pulled out for a second twin if needed. The bedroom have a desk but no mirror and queen size bed and comfortable pillows and nice linen. All rooms have view of river and everything was spotlessly clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent with meat, cheese, bread, cake, jams, and scrambled eggs plus fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. The pool area had plenty of loungers and umbrellas and over looked the river. There was a walking trail along the river and the train was across the street as well as two restaurant.

Great value hotel far exceeded our expectations

Great value hotel far exceeded our expectations Lovely breakfast and friendly helpful staff. There are three local restaurants, value for money is definitely the Tapas across the road. We found the other restaurants gave too much food, such a waste. You could get away with sharing one main even the small portion.
