The staff was exceptional. I was having a very hard day and needed to check in a bit early and they made this possible and were very sweet and accommodating. The location was perfect for those having an early flight. The room had all the necessary amenities and a lovely large terrace. There was a space to unpack the luggage which is always appreciated. We arrived at 9.30 at night after a long day of traveling, just needed a shower and bed. It was 5 minutes in a cab from the airport. It was clean, tidy, had a restaurant quick to check in. We were picking a rental car up the next morning it was less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Perfect. We would stay here again.

This is a small town convenient as a base to visit downtown Porto by metro and to get to the airport (shorter metro connection than from Porto proper, but requires one change of line). There are a supermarket and some shops and cafes conveniently located on the way from the metro station and on the town central square. The beaches of Matosinhos are also not very far.
