One of my favorite cities in Sweden. The lock complex is super interesting and there is so much to wander around. The complex is huge! We travelled specifically for Saab Car Museum Festival - a biennial event with around 1000 cars. The city is worth visiting at any time during the year as the car museum, 'Innovatum', the locks and power museum are of a high standard. The best time is a summer weekend when the waters are released from the dams down the old river course - spectacular!! lots of places to stay and eat, lots also to see and do close by.IIainUnited Kingdom

Easy 5 minute walk into town over 3 small bridges over the river which was very pretty. A number of restaurants by the river to choose from. The bed was very comfortable, great bathroom and overall decoration. Easy to park the car right outside, Highly recommended.
