The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel accommodates pets, which was incredibly helpful for cross-country moves. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Finally, the breakfast was really good for a budget hotel option.

When we had trouble with one of the beds, they got us moved to another room right away.
Prairie Museum of Art & History is 10 minutes’ walk from this motel in Colby, Kansas. The motel features a fitness center and guest rooms with cable TV and the HBO movie channel.
The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
The bad part is they don’t tell you that house keeping cleans every other day unless you ask for it and then they missed the day before I checked out.
Be sure you look at your bill when you check out make sure it’s right.

All of the state was dry and empty.
All of the state was dry and empty. This town was the only thing to see, and I was tired. The first thing I noticed is they love pizza. This tiny town had to have at least 11 pizza places, this is important to the public. I drove some around the town and saw they like their city parks. There were more than 2. I never got out of the car. It was relatively warm. It appears there is not much diversity in employment. In fact, I have little idea other than farming what these people do for work well. There is welfare and pizza. I do not recommend adding this to your must-sees when you travel, but maybe to your church's prayer list. Yeah, they need something to perk this sleepy town up.

We were just passing through on our way to Rapid City.
We were just passing through on our way to Rapid City. I booked online so I didn't know much about this hotel. I chose it because it was right off the highway that we would be taking on our way to Rapid City. I ended up really liking it because of the location. It was attached to an awesome restaurant and next to a dog park and store. Then I realized how comfortable the beds were. I wished I had more time, so that I could enjoy the indoor pool. It looked so inviting. I will definitely stay there again.

Colby has places to eat on Sunday ONLY south of I-70. It's a nice little town. There are several good places to eat---China Buffet, Village Inn (closes at 3:00 p.m.), Gambino's pizza (NOT open Sunday), Qdoba.

Wildland Fires filled the hotel with the smell of smoke.
Wildland Fires filled the hotel with the smell of smoke. Management should have automatically discount travelers, due to the hotel NOT being "smoke free" as advertised. It was handy to have a small store in the lobby, but could have included some breakfast. Check-in guy was funny and friendly. When I mentioned the "smoke" they could have taken initiative to automatically offer a discount, free juice, or something, to offset our sore throats
The room was nice and comfortable. The lady who checked us in was very friendly.
We have four people in our party. My youngest son and I came down for breakfast at about 9am. The hotel has staff there to serve you so the guests have no contact with the food. The two employees that were there assisting with breakfast were exceptional. They were so friendly and helped my son and I package everything so we could carry four to go boxes with drinks back to our room.
We ran into car issues on our way to Colorado. Thankfully, we arrived in Colby, and the hotel staff were very understanding of our situation. We were able to get a room and even got to check in right away. The hotel was clean and has a small pool and hot tub. The best part - they allow your furry friends!
The breakfast was good. Your standard small hotel breakfast. The rooms were clean and nice and looked like they'd been remodeled recently. Our arrival time changed at the last minute and the staff worked well with us. We'll definitely stay here next time we're through the area.
The hotel clerk was professional, polite and efficient. The room was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The breakfast was hot, good choices and tasted good. This was the perfect place to stop on our way home from Colorado.
This was definitely the best Motel 6 I've ever stayed at! I stayed with my dog, so I really appreciate that the room had an outdoor entrance (as well as an indoor one). Very comfortable bed.
I am really squeezing one out here. what did this hotel actually give me? Well the staff was I guess rather happy to see me. I don't think they get many. So that was kind at least
