I paid nearly $2k for 7 nights and the room fridge was empty not even complimentry water and was charged for breakfast , this is shocking to me , plus the breakfast was basic and not even cooked properly , staff at the breakfast counter did not understand english properly either which made it even difficult to order food

The only somewhat redeeming aspect of this hotel was the lady on staff at the time of check-in (we didn't get her name). She helped us to change from a VERY smoke stink infused "smoke-free", dirty, cockroach infested two bed room to a cleaner looking, somewhat recently remodeled slightly less smoke stinky "smoke-free" one bed room with a few less cockroaches. The staff lady got us a rollaway bed and clean sheets and pillows so our whole family did not have to sleep in one bed.

We stayed in Pompton Plains because we have family near-by. We also wanted to see a Yankees Game. We were able to do so. Such a nice location to be close to NYC yet far enough away. Before you leave Pompton Plains, make sure to go to the Pompton Queen Diner and get a Taylor Ham Breakfast Sandwich.
