We were only there two evenings, but were unhappy with both restaurants that we chose for dinner. They were identified as the best or better ones in town. However, we did not enjoy it. We really would’ve enjoyed some good seafood. Decision to stay there was only to see high Ridge in the Olympics and it was fantastic.

Although we were only there for 1 night as we moved on to Vancouver Island the following day, Port Angeles seemed to have the quaintness of a small town, but with plenty of facilities. Obviously the proximity to Olympic NP & ferry services are the main plusses.

Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas...
Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas you would like to visit. Many places are closed at the beginning of the week. Cruise ship comes in and that makes restaurants really busy at dinner time. Plan ahead if you want to eat somewhere nice. Kokopelli Grill was nice and food was good but getting a seat took awhile. Some people couldn’t be seated. Try to get the shuttle that goes to Hurricane Ridge then you can go anytime. If you are a car, you’ll have to get up there early.

Stayed in Port Angeles because it was so close to Hurricane Ridge in the national Park. Had dinner at Joshua's restaurant next to the Super 8. The pictures hanging on the walls of the restaurant are good enough to be in an art gallery--very impressed!

I'm weird because I love clouds and rain, and I hate heat.
I'm weird because I love clouds and rain, and I hate heat. P.A.has my ideal climate.
The town is just the right mix of city and suburbs. The houses and neighborhoods are all so cute and wonderful. I am seriously considering moving there.
Best restaurant: New Day Eatery
Best american breakfast: Chestnut Cottage
Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. There was a choice for breakfast. Most of the staff were helpful.
Great location for lots of things we needed - an early start to Hurricane Ridge (entrance about 5 min drive). Really close to the town restaurants, the supermarket is just around the corner and the car ferry terminal for Vancouver Island is a couple of mins drive. There is a great short cut to town down a set of steps (maybe 60 steps?) but you can also drive or walk along the street if mobility is a problem.
I can say only great things about the Olympic Lodge! I love it and I will absolutely be back! The property feels like an historic but updated lodge, and seems larger than it is, maybe because of the wide hallways. It has a warm inviting feel and everything is comfortable and perfect! The staff was so friendly & helpful! The hot tub was fantastic after hiking in the National park. The breakfast is best I’ve had for a free hotel breakfast. I literally loved my stay there!
Though this is an older property and right beside the main road out of town, it was remarkably free of excessive traffic noise and is a great budget friendly, clean, place to stay in Port Angeles. Comfortable bed, good lights, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV and lots of pillows. The bathroom was spotless and the towels were fluffy. The owners have gone to great lengths to make this property welcoming and comfortable. Good job!
The location was great for accessing port Angeles, just a short walk (about 10-15mins) or a quick drive in. The reception staff were nice when I checked in and check out was quick as I could just leave my key in a drop box. The room was fine and the shower was hot and high pressure. Just what I needed to go on some great hikes in the national park! It's a little basic but value for money is great.
The location was beautiful. There isn't anything not beautiful in Port Angeles. The location was great, just in the outside of town but still close enough to walk or drive if you desire it. The breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable and the kids loved the hotel cats that were at the property.
Perfectly sized suite for my family of 5, and everyone was happy! Wonderful and friendly staff, and the room was very clean. The location was also easy to get to and from which made exploring Port Angeles easy! 😀 we will stay here again!
The hotel has one of the best locations in the city of Port Angeles. The view from the cliff on a bay area is astonishing. In addition, this property is close to everything - downtown, the wharf, supermarket.
It is a lovely house, well maintained and with all the amenities you would need, we were a group of 4 and found it extremely comfortable. Will surely book again if we're ever back in port Angeles. Thank you
The staff was extremely helpful and moved us to a sister hotel for the same price. We did not stay at the Uptown Inn. Room was suppose to be non smoking, but it wasn't. Terrible smell of smoke.
Port Angeles was a two day base of operations to see Olympic National Park and Victoria, BC. It was located close to restaurants and the usual facilities you want on a trip.
The staff was amazingly friendly! It was clean. For Port Angeles, this motel was good. If you’re comparing it to a hotel in Seattle, it’s not. Manage your expectations.
Fantastic view of Port Angeles. The room was comfortable for a family of 4. The room was well-equipped with a microwave and mini-fridge. The location was excellent.
Big comfy beds. Nice furnishings. Good place to explore Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent from. Restaurant next door made great breakfasts ( not included)
