The staff was so polite and funny which was nice. No coffee maker in room but it was in the lobby. It was so clean and we loved our own private parking. Even though we have a truck we made it work. A great place for my family. Thank you!

Congested, chaotic and fairly dirty.
Congested, chaotic and fairly dirty. Biggest disappointment: Balboa Lake Park -- this used to be a fantastic, beautiful place to bring our family, now it is rundown, overgrown and they've let the gorgeous trees and grass fields die! What a waste!

Was a bit unsure initially as some of Van Nuys not so nice but we visited the park there and a Japanese Garden that were lovely. Found a Sportsbar/ restaurant near the Park exhibiting (among others) the Welsh flag and had a great steak meal
towels are changed every day, clean enough, but the room is on the ground floor, the window can be opened from the outside and the rest of the guests, everyone goes to their rooms past the windows, the noise insulation is very poor, the contingent is still, leaves much to be desired. the location is excellent near the shopping center and pharmacy, cafe. I didn’t like that the water in the shower was always barely warm, and it was cold enough for California outside.
This is the 2nd time I’ve went here.
Both times the floors were so dirty when I walked barefoot my feet turned black.
They may sweep the floors but I have never had to clean the floor of a hotel before. The windex of mine I used to spray the floors. All doors and handles wer also visibly dirty. I cleaned. It myself. The cotton towel I used was black and had to be tossed.
The rest of the place was fairly clean.
Definitely not a room disinfected of Civid
I like everything about the property, the safety of the gated entry , the view from my window inside the room , the parking that is on sight , the cleaning staff , the room was perfect . And lastly , the owner he is absolutely awesome You can tell he is right on it when it comes to his hotel. It makes you feel secure and I will tell my friends & fam to skip other hotel options and come here ! Thank you Hyland Hotel

Holiday inn express in Van Nuys property needs some remodeling. It’s gated and charge for parking ($8 a day) cheaper than other hotels. Area is a bit rough but we didn’t have any issues.
Nice hotel for the price, comfy beds, all basic things available. Price was adequate, location convenient for me. I did not visit the restaurant so can't say anything about it
It was close to the places I needed to be. I loved that there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room! The hotel is across the street from a Starbucks and Panda Express.
I am in the hospital because I contracted pneumonia while staying at this hotel from October 12 to October 15th. I want my $325.00 refunded immediately.
