The setting is absolutely awesome! The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to know that you are looked after and having the best time. The rooms are beautiful, the bed really comfortable, the game drives with Ray very informative and scenic. All round we had a wonderful stay at Pel's Post (The Outpost)

A great place to stay in before or after visiting the Kruger National Park. The lodge grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and were satisfied with both.

Our stay at the Outpost Lodge made the experience of Makuleke an absolute treat. The guided game drive was beautiful, we saw a lot of animals and learnt about the Park. I would not recommend doing a self-drive through the park.

A wonderful luxury bush experience with knowledgeable guides and very attentive staff. The position on the river is beautiful and the game drives so varied, great for birders and those who want to experience wilderness. Not for those wanting just to tick off the Big 5.

Lots of rareties in the bird species so excellent if you are a birder although the southern summer is even better( lots of migrants).
General game viewing good with loads of elephant ( end dry season) and a buffalo under every bush. The bush is called thicket for good reason and if you are there in summer you probably wont see as many mammals though tons of birds
. We were there at the end of the dry season and temps topped out at 42 degrees so bring a cooling towel and an excellent hat as our vehicle had no canopy
