Very friendly staff and breakfast was amazing, I felt very safe and comfortable staying here. It was just amazing
As Paarl is my home town I’m probably a little biased.
As Paarl is my home town I’m probably a little biased. The town has much to offer. The historic Main Street, so put on your walking shoes. For those travellers who enjoy wine Paarl has a lot to offer. There are plenty of wine estates to visit including the KWV winery. A visit to Paarl Rock is a must with stunning views across the valley. Paarl is home to the Afrikaans language visit the Taal Monument. For those travellers who want a relaxing break, Paarl is for you. Paarl unlike other Wineland towns like Stellenbosch and Franshoek is a lot less quieter with fewer tourists. A gem not to be missed.

Paarl has a very interesting Main Street if you enjoy architecture: there are a couple of centuries of architectural styles here. The scenery and surrounding mountains are spectacular and of course … let’s not forget all those gorgeous wine estates, tastings and food pairings.

Of the Cape Winelands Paarl is the least attractive and although we have seen lots of fab attractions it’s and wineries the majority are readily accessible from Franschhoek.

There is more than enough quality and good restaurants.
There is more than enough quality and good restaurants. Lots of things to do (e.g. el Paca farm). beautiful surrounds and fairly quiet. The only detractor are the beggars on the streets - I never felt threatened, but it gets a bit much after a while.

The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway .
The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway ..and not far from Franschoek and Stellenbosch. We really enjoy the Winelands and prefer it to the the hustle and bustle of Central Cape Town. Paarl itself is quaint and quiet ..although in fairness we did not venture out into the wineland area of Paarl ..as our trip was too s hort ..only 5 days ..next time it will be for two weeks ..
Great location! Modern facilities and everything you need. Hot tub is easy to use. The tent over the apartment keeps it nice and cool despite the heat of Paarl. Super comfy bed, aircon works well. Inverter for loadshedding. Super peaceful. We had a few issues with noise from the tent but the staff fixed it for us as soon as we communicated with them. We had the braai box and the steak was amazing, and I don’t even like steak! such great value for money. Easy check in if you read the instructions. Good communication.
A magnificent 17th century manor house. We were lucky to stay in the main building - it is a real palace with antique furniture, bathrooms and a huge living room. In the morning, an excellent breakfast was served in the room with a fireplace - very pleasant in bad weather. Next to the hotel there is a charming winery Fairview with good wine and goat cheese tasting. We were recommended restaurants in the city of Paarl where we could have dinner in the evening. I really hope to return to Diamond Estate in the summer)
I have stayed at Goedemoed under its current and previous owners several times since 2010. It is perhaps my favorite place to stay in all of South Africa. Stunning views over the vineyards to the mountains in the distance. The property, centered around a Dutch colonial manor house, has recently been renovated. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Feels like you are in the middle of the countryside when actually you are two minutes from the Paarl Mall or the restaurants on Paarl's main road.
Neat and simplistic place. Comfortable bed with good quality bedding. If you don’t have a car it’s ideal since very easy/ quick to access (walk to) restaurants and spar quick shop. And garage with lovely Woolworths food. Other guests/residents down passage of flat were quiet. For long stay the unit is good for cooking. Fridge is also big (not a bar fridge). WiFi was on during load shedding. Host was very friendly.it’s really near to Paarl girls / meisies school
Delightful boutique room in a row of several similar rooms on a farm on the residential outskirts of Paarl. The room was large and well equipped. Debbie the manager met us on arrival and showed us around. Big bathroom, good shower. We drove to a nearby restaurant but could have walked if it wasn't raining. Breakfast in a nearby building was plentiful and tasty. The swimming pool behind the apartments looked inviting but we didn't get a chance to use it.
We were provided with everything to ensure an easy check-in. The apartment was very clean and stocked with everything you would need to enjoy a great stay. The place is decorated very stylishly. Nice big shower. The hostess stayed in contact with us during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed. The best part was the ice cold bottle of water in the fridge after a long day in a very hot Paarl. We will definitely return.
The hotel is in a beautiful location amidst the vineyards, spectacular views, glorious rooms and facilities, manicured gardens, everything is truly exceptional. Phenomenal breakfast, beautifully presented, excellent choices including locally sourced products and food items unique to South Africa. Excellent dining on the front porch overlooking beautiful Paarl Valley. Perfect service.
Thank You!
I had a nice stay in a separate building called 'Die stal'. They have upgraded to a boutique hotel since I was there last time. The room was very comfortable & clean and the check-in was very smooth. The location is excellent close to many restaurants and bars. Parking is very safe and convenient next to the garden area at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was nice as well.
Lovely welcome by our host Kristen, the property has a spectacular view over Paarl. Our room was lovely with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was great served by lovely staff. Only 5 minutes drive to centre so easy to find restaurants. Pool was really clean with plenty of beds and towels available.
It was on a working farm in the Paarl district which was lovely. Marike was a wonderful host and very helpful. We had everything we needed. We loved the dogs and the peace and quiet and felt safe. Sitting at the pool was lovely too and walking on the farm was wonderful.
Great location for short stay in Paarl. Secure gated oasis with lovely seated veranda overlooking the gardens. Walking distance to coffee shop and a few restaurants. Christelle and Johan run a fabulous guest house and were really helpful and friendly.
Paarl was a nice place to base from. Suite was larger than expected. Very large bed, bedroom, and bathroom. Common area table to sit out and drink coffee in the am. Happily surprised about washing machine (just be sure to use the quick setting).
Wonderful new peaceful and private cottage with views over Paarl and mountains. Very clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. Sarine and her husband are lovely people. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Lovely setting but a bit remote for visiting Paarl town (20 mins) and Franschoek. The team were lovely though and very responsive, they were especially helpful in allowing us a late check out.
Great secure little place in Paarl with all the amenities required. Friendly staff and host. Was a-great stay for our needs. Thank you for the welcoming present in the fridge.
