This is a wonderful place to stay, especially if travelling with pets. The drive up and down the QLD coastline is long and stressful. A lot of traffic at times on the Bruce Highway. Being able to stay for a night at a property which is comfortable and inviting for pets is a joy to find.

Don't get room 11, closest to the main road so heavy trucks passing by. The walls would shake as a heavy truck passed through town. You should request the rooms in the row futherest from the main road.

I like to stay here as a midway stop on my way to Brisbane. It's great as an overnighter, there are three places to stay here and they are all great with friendly people running them. Easy to get a good feed too.

Bororen is a small town on the Bruce Highway that has public toilets, service station, a nice hotel/motel that serves good meals, a comfortable motel, other budget accommodation and a second-hand record shop that is also a cafe but only open Thursday to Sunday. The other cafes appear to be out of business. Overall, a pleasant overnight stop for road travellers.

Bororen Motel is a good stopover if travelling from Gympie to Rockhampton (and return) without wanting to drive too far in any one day. I would recommend additional coffee breaks at Mt Larcom (going north) and Gin Gin (going south, although NOT at the BP Service Station if you have a dog! The Puma Service Station has outside tables where dogs can sit). The motel is close to the hotel where good meals are available at reasonable prices.

We stayed here after a long drive from Mackay and were pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The shower was hot, bed was comfy and the TV worked. Also the A/C too. We didn’t dine here as there was no facility to do so. We had dinner at the pub down the road and can recommend the bangers & mash. Good beer selection and overall nice place to relax. Overall a welcome stay after a long drive.
