Lovely town! We were sorry to be here for only one night.
Lovely town! We were sorry to be here for only one night. We should have stayed two, as there were a few other attractions that we did not get to see. We loved the castle, Church of the Holy Rude and the cemetery.

Stirling exceeded our expectations. It was rich in history.
Stirling exceeded our expectations. It was rich in history. The locals were very friendly and helpful. There was a wide variety of restaurant options. Even the thrift stores were top notch. There were several options to enjoy entertainment. We highly recommend the Settle Inn (on St. Mary’s Wynd) the oldest ale house in town (300+yrs). We were very moved by the traditional folk music performed by the locals. We also recommend joining in on one of the free guided tours in the Castle. It’s a great way to get to know the gossip of the royals and renegades.

There is so much to see and to absorb if you love history and want to know where your ancestors came from. Essential: talk to people wherever you go. There is so much to learn from those who staff the historic sites! Dee and Trisha were great sources of info. See Holy
Rude Church and the connected graveyard. Wow! Always ask for the hidden or less seen places. The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum is a quirky gem. (It has the oldest known football.) Things to remember: walking is great, but challenging. Taking a taxi sometimes makes you miss some of the things, however, like going through the graveyard at Holy Rude.

I really liked Stirling however the stress of being unable to access the Mar Apartment as pin to access was not sent and which we had paid for through Booking.com and having to go searching for alternative accommodation at 8pm was the most stressful and upsetting thing I have ever experienced on holiday. The owner was uncontactable although I tried to call her 20 times and sent several emails and Booking.com did not help just kept saying to ring the owner. The situation has become even more upsetting as both Booking and the owner of the Mar Apartment are refusing to refund my money. Will never return to Stirling. Will never use Booking.com again. Awful experience.
The location was perfect for what we wanted to see (Stirling Castle and surrounding area). It was within walking distance of all the "tourist" shops and many historic sites. It was also a great value for the location. I looked at a couple of other hotels in the immediate area and they were more expensive. A couple of other small things I liked were the car park right behind the hotel (for guests only), the breakfast, and the spacious bathroom with the amazing towel warmer. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Great location. Thistle shopping centre 6 min walk down the hill. Stirling castle and old town jail a short walk up the hill.
Lots of coffee shops and cafes round about. The Spa was available to use throughout our stay and was fantastic. Nice size pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
Food was a high standard and well presented.
Rooms have everything you need but are a little dated.
Cat parking available at the hotel Free of charge.
Overall great value and would definitely stay again.
Immaculately clean and well appointed cottage in a fantastic location - very handy for supermarket and centre of Stirling is just 5 minutes walk away. The cottage was warm and cosy and the beds were very comfy. Cheryl had sent very clear directions and instructions for entry. We had a great stay and have already booked again for a holiday. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage.
Near the top of the hill from city centre to the castle. An easy walk down and a regular bus from tha stop outside the Golden Lion Hotel to the stop almost opposite the apartment. Several very good restaurants within walking distance.
The apartment was very well equipped with modern fittings. It was comfortable and peaceful.
Excellent, very clean apartment in location close to centre. Very impressed with the modern bathroom and kitchen and all the little extras. Also impressed with the large screen TV compared with the tiny TV we had in a hotel on last visit to Stirling - well worth the extra money paid compared to that hotel room.
Stayed there 2 nights at the opposite end of a trip in another part of Scotland. Breakfast was good. Staff were great. The wifi on my 2nd night barely r were ogled so Nick gave me a free coffee and pastry the next day.
They also stored my luggage while I visited the castle.
Close to everything in Stirling.
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful at all times
Room very clean and beds comfy. Plenty of free parking. Very close to an excellent bar and grill. Not far from Stirling City centre and plenty to see and do in area. Also close to morrisons for fuel and munchies and wine for room.
The campus is outstanding, the scenery breathtakingly beautiful. The Hotel very comfortable, warm and cosy. Easy access to surrounding area. Staff very helpful and the food outstanding. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stirling Court Hotel to family and friends and indeed have already done so!
Great location, lovely rooms and excellent breakfast in the morning! Private parking available at the back of the hotel. We stayed for 1 night, the hotel had everything we needed. The restaurant/bar area is nicely done and the food was great. Would stay again!
couldn’t fault anything with the stay, the room was fantastic as was the food and the staff. would recommend and would definitely stay again. location is perfect for getting around as it’s a quiet area but a very short walk to the city centre/castle.
This is an amazing place to stay - so quiet and peaceful, yet very convenient to Stirling Castle and other sites in the area. The hosts were lovely, breakfast was plentiful and delicious! We will definitely stay here again.
Excellent central location in Stirling. Very Spacious hotel . Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice! For a hotel in the city centre did not have any street noise on a evening!
Love this hotel . Perfect for visiting our Local Head Office , plus easy access to Stirling centre etc .............. Staff are always friendly & Helpful
