We really enjoyed our stay at the Yurt Camp Sonun. It was clean and offered everything we needed. It even had some amenities we didn’t expect, like WiFi, hot water, and electric heat in the yurts, which were a very nice bonus. It was a true Kyrgyz yurt experience right by the shore of Issyk-Kul. Zhenara runs the yurt camp and was very helpful and friendly before and during our stay. She helped organize a transfer which made it a lot easier to get between the yurt camp and Bishkek. Food was tasty and warm, and the service was lovely. Feels like a lovely family establishment.

This is a beautiful retreat on the shore of Issyk Kul. The property is beautiful with great views and fruit trees and even activities like ping pong which we did not use. the yurt was beautiful and the rooms also looked very nice. Shower facilities were great and the pool looked refreshing and, clean though we did not use it. There are not words to adequately describe the kindness and welcome of the owners. They can communicate well in English or local language and are amazingly friendly, without coming on too strong. meals were also great. Gap yok!
