With a rich mix of influences from Indians, Chinese, Spanish and Americans, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic centre. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonisation, Manila became an important city, known as the ‘Pearl of Orient’.
Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.
Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila, “The City of Our Affections” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.
Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.
For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City, where a second cluster of hotels are located.

I think my experience of Manila is unfortunately a sad one, the people have been very unfriendly to me. They pretend to not understand me, frequently ignore me no matter where I go with my Fiancé. I will try to get a taxi and say "Little Baguio Terrace" after three cabs just look at me confused; I just walked the 1.5 miles to where I was staying. If we are eating in a restaurant I will start ordering and they talk to me 100% in Tagalog, and I tell them I don't understand, and they start talking to my Fiancé. If I'm busy talking with my soon to be stepdaughter, or even my fiancé they just start talking to her and ignore me. Manila is not English speaking friendly no matter what the internet says.

There was nothing in Manila at Makati I enjoyed I thought the people were arrogant a bunch of liars and the older people were very rude. Here in the United States we try to respect other nationalities you won't get that in Manila you're treated like a stranger that they would like to see leave as soon as possible I would never go back there

Manila is a steamy, claustrophobic city that is both dirty and chaotic. In fact it is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Avoid going in the hotter months, as anything outside is impossible. There is nothing of any great repute to see, and unless you live there or have friends there it is difficult to know the best places to eat or spend time at. My suggestion would be to skip Manila and fly onto one of the many islands

Manila has several tourist options, many we could not explore because of short stay.
we visited the BGC uptown ea which can beat any commercial neighborhood in the world, really an excellent place
Also the malls and beach are worth exploring.
Food options are several and affordable
It is the best location if you need to stay in Manila for 1 night before or after you flight to the islands. There is a bridge to the airport next to the hotel. You can reach terminal 3 in literally 5 minutes walk and there are a lot of restaurants, shops where you can grab some food. We also had a dinner in the hotel restaurant-very reasonable prices, very tasty and the portions are rather big. And I liked to swimming pool on the rooftop-it is not very big, it is more about chilling , but you will definitely enjoy it
Newly built ultra modern hotel, with exceptional facilities. The best Gym I have ever seen anywhere in the world. Amazing rooftop terrace bar and restaurant with superb views across Manila. The attention to detail 10/10
Hotel staff, Jerome, Bernadette, Victor and Byron what can I say you make ASN Residence Hotel, with exceptional customer service. A hotel is just a Hotel without good managers. I would say the best hotel I have ever stayed in across the world. I will definitely be back. Thanks so much Johnny
I use this hotel several times a year. It is a very good value, budget hotel. The rooms are large, clean and very well equipped, having a kettle a rice maker a microwave oven and a fridge. I was in a different room to my usual one and was pleased it had a slightly thicker matress, which made the bed comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The area isn't great but it's fairly close to all Manila airport terminals.
This year we chose U Hotel to be our base while in Manila as we travel around Philippines. We’ve done this a number of times, and have used different Makati hotels as our base; U Hotel has been our favorite so far!
The rooms are nice, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is wonderful, the price is very reasonable, and the location is awesome. Our group of two couples will stay at the hotel in the future for sure!
very professional and well-staffed. one of the few hotels in manila that felt like a normal hotel. The check-in process was easy, the staff was very accommodating, and they ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENT :).
Staff was really nice, I felt an earthquake while up on the 12th floor, albeit a small tremor, I asked if I could move lower in the building and they did everything they could to try and accommodate my request.
Nice boutique hotel near the center of Makati with an easy drive to airport, and BGC. Good restaurant downstairs but also near good cafes, shops, and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff especially the security guards. Very spacious (Barcelona Suite) with comfortable beds and big bathroom. Good internet connection and some international channels available.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 THE BWST HOTEL IN ALL MANILA
FOR ME THE ATTENTION WAS GREAT!!
DO NOT TAKE A TAXI FROM THW AIRPORT THEY CHARGED US 400 AND ROBBED US! YOU SHOULD PAY MAX 160 PHP FOR THE TRIP!!
this hotel is wonderfull very cheap IT INCLUDES A CHEAP BREAKFAST THAT IS UNLIMITED BREAD AND CAFFE JUST THAT BUT FOR POOR BACKPACKERS LIKE ME IS THE BEEEEST OF THE BEST!
Good AC. Fridge inside the room. Bars and entertainment spots in walikg distance.
Beds are spacious and comfy.
Ample rooms with a high ceiling (which i like against the new fancy hotel rooms which are tiny space and low ceiling).
I like their historic relationship to the nearby AyalaTriangle, which was the runway of former Manila Airport, in the 1930-ies.
If you are staying in the hotel for any reason, you should go for dinner and have breakfast.
It was the best breakfast I had in my life in the hotel, and I travelled to many hotels already.
The food is quite expensive but can ask for an offer and always gives you a very attractive deal.
From the reviews, it is one of the best hotels in Manila
Been staying here since 2019 every time I fly to Manila.
I like its close proximity to the airport and to MOA. It also has a 7/11 beside it which makes it super convenient for travelers like me. It is comfy and clean which I appreciate for a budget hotel. I hope they keep it this way 👌🏻
Enjoyed my stay overall. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. Loved the fresh bread and butters. Onsen Spa access is a bonus that I was not able to find in other Manila Hotels in previous places. Was not able to check out their rooftop bar but heard good things. Will be back!
Manila Hotel is a landmark. All employees are courteous and with a smile every time they see you. Customer service is excellent. The only thing that I saw that needed improvement is the shower room. It needs complete renovations. Other than that our stay was nice and homey.
Been for a work in manila and the location of the hotel is near manila bay… its a quiet hotel if you are going on business trip so you can relax and sleep for a second day meeting… Tried both breakfast and lunch and has a nice view from 9 floor and multi food variants…
It was so comfortable, They provided us with good care and convenience during our stay in Manila. It had a great outside view, The staff were respectful. It was overall, A good hotel. I overall, Recommend going there if you are planning to be at Manila.
One of the best hotels in manila.very friendly and helpful staff a great buffet breakfast and 5 star facilities and in a great location.i will look forward to returning to this hotel soon
I love this hotel. Few mins walk from MOA, few mins cab to the airport. I love the staff. They are very accommodating and hospitable. They care about they’re guest. Great customer service!
the price in the internet was the same like in real. most hotels in manila just make a new price when you arrive and they see that you a white. specially OYO group.
i stay in this hotel 4 times, and when i come back to Manila, i will stay there, Everything is nice and amazing, even the staff, who are so kindly and good
