My first impression as I drove into the property was one of discomfort. It had the look of a once rather grand place in disrepair. My sheets at least appeared clean. Little creepy with a hotel California vibe.

Absolutely disappointed in the stay .. A suitcase was stolen from inside the locked Hotel room which leads me to believe that it was a Staff Member... I HAVE BEEN CHARGED LESS IN MANHATTAN, NYC HOTELS WITH TWICE THE AMENITIES YOU OFFER WITH BETTER LOCATIONS FOR LESS THAN I WAS CHARGED BY YOU! NEVER AGAIN, UNLESS IT'S THE ONLY OPTION I HAVE. CAN YOU GUYS AT LEAST TELL YOUR STAFF TO BE SURE THAT ALL OF THE SHOWER AMENITIES, LIQUID SOAP, HAIR SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER ARE FULL?!? NEVER AGAIN UNLESS YOU ARE THE LAST RESORT!

Horizon Inn is 40 minutes by Train from Newyork to Avenel; and the Motel is just 10 minute's walk from the train station. The Horizon Inn is located in a very quiet, leafy area which I liked the most. The manager and the staff are very friendly and helpful; they even allowed me to use their mobile phone to make a call to a restaurant for food as my phone didn't work. I always book the smoking one. They have WIFI available, and a big flat screen that can tilt and lean in the position that you please. The staff treats you like royalty, this place feels like an absolute oasis, with newly remodeled rooms that have huge jacuzzis and a killer fireplace !!!!!! This is definitely worth way more than the price!

There was no breakfast and the pool was not open, due to New Jersey Covid rules. Coffee was still available in the lobby, as well as snacks and drinks for sale.
