Very nice staff (at check-in, during dinner, and for drinks afterwards) - everybody was very accommodating. Since the pub was very quiet, we got to talk to the two bar tenders for quite a while which was really nice. The waiter during dinner was really nice and funny as well. Dinner was superb - excellent quality and presentation! While the castle is located outside of town, the neighborhood is beautiful - we went for a walk after dinner - and actually easily accessible by train (which should be more clearly pointed out on the website, I suggest).

It was a nice friendly place. The rooms were clean and as expected for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful and the locals were friendly too.

Self catering & the kitchen was new & well fitted out so was easy for us to cook etc. location was perfect for us as we were attending an event at the SEC & Clyde Auditorium.
