Situated in Stock, 9.2 km from Hylands Park, The Harvard Inn features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The location was so pretty, easy to find. We arrived later than planned & Mark on reception was wonderful in getting us sorted. Spotless comfy bedroom & fab en-suite. Great breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights 21 to 23 September What's there not to like? My stay was exceptional. The place itself has a cottage like vibe. It has everything you need and the decor, features etc is very high spec. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave etc. A TV with "proper" channels including netflix, very comfortable indeed. Lesley is on hand to answer and help with any questions or queries about the area and things to do. Plus they also offer a very reasonable, very flexible taxi service. Tiptop!!! The cottage is warm and cosy. It is set back in an area surrounded by beautiful green land and in a garden with lovely garden furniture and ample seating areas. It really has the best backdrop. There is also a fully equipped gym which I had the opportunity to use, very considerate to open it up for guests. The hosts have thought about everything you may need for a comfortable getaway. They were brilliant hosts, Lesley and Pat, their welcome was more like going to stay with friends for the weekend! The nicest people you would ever want to meet, hands on, making sure you're comfortable, super pleasant, engaging and just really really nice folks. I highly recommend the Glen Adorable... the name says it all!

Parking for his car and easy access to Stansted. Perfect.

I liked everything about the service I got- the customer service, cleanliness, the meals and the attention to details. The owners were professional, yet friendly, without being overwhelming.

The best inn I have ever stayed inn! It's a 1500s building and it is gorgeous and fascinating inside. So much to look at, lovingly and tastefully restored and preserved. See pics. Fantastic staff. I didn't use the pub / restaurant but it looked superb. I did have breakfast which was 10 out of 10, see pic. The location is in the heart of the historic old town, all the streets are narrow and quaint, I managed to find parking up the street, but the whole area wasn't designed for motor cars. Be aware that the many steep stairs are not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, so if that's you call them to discuss your options. See the pic of the paper they gave me to help me navigate the labyrinth! Overall the best historic property I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. Don't miss staying here!

Compasses ligger i den rolige landsby Littley Green i hjertet af Essex' landskab og er en victoriansk pub, som emmer af historie og tradition. Very accomodating room, squeaky clean, good food in the pub. They even reserved a table for us, which they normally don't do.

The Sandrock ligger blot 1 minuts gang fra West Cliff Beach, Clacton-On-Seas centrum og Clacton-On-Sea-molen. Der tilbydes gratis WiFi. Der serveres komplet engelsk morgenmad hver morgen. We were amazed at the utter wonderfulness of this lovely place - the hosts were friendly and helpful in every way, the room beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated; our stay was rounded off by a delicious breakfast that really set us off for a day's walking.
