Die Unterkunft Doonbank Cottage Bothy ist gelegen in Ayr, 2 km von Strand Greenan Beach und 6,5 km von Ayr Racecourse, in einer Gegend mit Möglichkeiten zum Wandern. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren und sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber. Die Hühner des Gastgebers hatten ein paar Eier gelegt und wir wurden damit versorgt. Die Lage des Cottages ist phantastisch, direkt am River Doon gelegen, an einem Waldstück, sehr ruhig und sehr idyllisch.

Das Whitestone Cottage in Culzean war der Geburtsort von Robert Burns' Mutter Agnes Broun im Jahr 1732. My son and I were doing a tour of western Scotland and came across this place as it is very close to Culzean Castle (fantastic). Space was small but had everything we were looking for and more. The proprietor, George, was very friendly and seemed proud of his property. We got there a little late and were hungry so he made reservations for us at a great restaurant (possibly best food we had in Scotland). Would definitely recommend Whitestone for those looking for a base of operation.

Decor was beautiful and finished to an extremely high standard, the photos don't do it justice. Also in a great location with lots to do and a very quick walk to the beach. Great hosts, very responsive to absolutely minor queries. We would love to return, but we suspect that the price will increase once others find this little gem and it becomes more popular.

Amazing property, gorgeous interior with much more space and character than pictures show. Host was incredible: Fantastic clear communication, a personal meet at the property, and even small things like a small bottle of milk and coffee/tea products left for us upon our arrival. Great location with everything you need within a 5 minute drive. Beautiful scenery in surrounding area also. Gorgeous harbour very near with beautiful views. Bedroom is a great size with the comfiest bed I've ever slept on! All in all, a phenomenal place which allowed for an unforgettable stay out of the city. I cannot wait to book again. Thank you 🙏
