John is the friendliest, kindest host. There were many small touches with hospitality in mind that we really appreciated. The location is fantastic - quiet but a stones throw from the city centre. Would absolutely recommend for a stay in an authentic Victorian terrace house!

Everything! Barbara was a great host! she was super friendly and helpful. we were so happy here, the location is perfect and just a few steps from the city center. Our room was clean and had everything one can ask for. The breakfast was made on the spot with everything being fresh nd beautifully served. This place was an awesome experience and made our stay perfect! highly recommended!

The Doune guest house is a perfect place to stay in St Andrews! Certainly you cannot beat the location. But it is much more than that. The house is perfectly clean, very pretty to look at, and absolutely comfortable. My room was so cozy and had everything I needed. You can easily control the temperature in your room, make tea or coffee, watch many channels of TV, relax, and generally feel as comfortable as after a long day of sightseeng. It was nice and quiet except for the St Andrews seagulls! The hosts, Yufei & Ilya, are wonderful. Super helpful and accommodating. I emailed them at least a half dozen times before I even arrived with questions, requests, and changes to my arrival. Each time they answered positively and fulfilled my needs. They were great. I certainly look forward to staying with them again!!

Very beautiful and stately. Immaculately groomed home with a peaceful garden area. Beautifully landscaped yard. Breakfast was amazing, great, stupendous! The homemade bread deserves special commendation as possibly the best ever baked. Owners Karen and Thomas are most welcoming.
