The lady (can’t remember her name) who is from the French-speaking part of Switzerland was lovely. She made restaurant reservations for us and made very useful recommendations on things to do in the area. We had a great walk to see the church (about 30 minutes) and enjoyed our stay. We came at just the right time when guests left the night before so we had the residence all to ourselves. One thing that is a mini detail is that the showers in the rooms had ample space to bathe and lots of clean hot water. There was a “hot pot” available on site to enjoy while taking in scenic views. The breakfast was tasty and delicious. This is a historic property that owners have really done a great job with. Highly recommend!

Situated in the centre of Tegna in a very quiet area, Charme Hotel Barbatè features a lush green garden, which is known for providing inspiration to the famous political philosopher Hannah Arendt. I loved everything about Hotel Barbaté. The room was spacious, bed really very comfortable. The hotel is at Tegna Railway Station one of the stops of the Centovalli Railway. I travel by public transport and it was a great advantage for me. Bus stations are close too. Breakfasts were delicious, with great choice. What I liked the best was the owners hospitality and friendliness.

Beautiful and unique architecture and interior of the hotel and the room. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

Especially the staff at the restaurant :) Best choice to stay there during the off season in mid September! Clean bathroom, not many people, quiet and delicious food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Hotel Al Fiume is located 4 km from Locarno and Ascona, the only hotel in the area away from the main roads and train tracks, located in a peaceful green garden with tropical plants, directly on... Very friendly staff, superb breakfast, very comfortable beds, nice garden, very clean, proper fridge in the room, little private outdoor patio where we had breakfast, quiet, parking. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Good continental breakfast and delicious meals at restaurant. Clean and well-functioning private bathroom. Staff especially effective at helping travelers from outside the area.

Cristallina is an eco-friendly hotel, set amidst nature in the scenic Lower Maggia Valley. Lovely staff, great food and the private sauna downstairs was the best (sauna usage costs extra). A very early check-in due to the bad weather was no problem. Pet friendly hotel.
