The soundproof windows and the automatic shutters were a true delight. It was also wonderful to look up at the very top of the roof and see an old cartoon figure sitting there. My apologies, but my wife and I forgot the name of the character. I realize that out of all the wonderful things inside to comment on, it’s unbelievable to be commenting on a small figure, outside, on the rooftop. The hidden message is that the proprietor spared nothing to ensure that the guests were accommodated. I assure you that I will probably be the only guest to make a comment of such least expected item(s).

It was my second time. This time around, it was even more pleasant. The new owners were exceptionally friendly, caring, helpful. I arrived late at night (after midnight, in fact), and the owner himself came to open the door for me. The room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom has a lovely walk-in shower. Everything looked very modern and state-of-the-art. Lovely service and breakfast (omelettes made to your specifications). An all-around wonderful three days.

Hotel "Zum Wiesengrund" in the Elsavatal Valley offers its guests a pleasant stay in a quiet and well-tended surrounding. We. Stayed here for one night as a convenient stop on the way to the Dolomites, however if we had known how lovely the hotel was we would have stayed longer. The food was fantastic and the staff really helpful. The recommendations for wine were spot on. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you needed. It was unusually hot so the only improvement might be to provide a fan. We would love to go back.
