After a long intercontinental flight we were greeted on arrival by the shuttle driver with a sign with our name on it. We stayed for one night and were happy to use the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The diner was good, the breakfast with waffles baked on demand was excellent. Very friendly staff, a great way to start our Ecuadorian adventure!

Santiago one of the Managers was amazing, he organized a private taxi/guide called Dario to take us into Quito old town to stay with us while we visited some tourist sites. and then waited while we had a meal at PIMMS (also to be recommended) We were 3 ladies staying in a 2 person suite, (for an additional fee). The sofa bed was comfortable, and the suite had 2 bathrooms. Dario the guide was so good we hired him for a second trip. Fab breakfast, good bartender. Santiago was most attentive, and made us feel very safe and cared for. The service was exemplary at this Hotel, we considered staying at a more expensive hotel in the old town, but the convenience to the airport and the ability to book a car and driver made this a much better choice.

This hotel certainly has quirky architecture but is a beautiful place to stay surrounded by beautiful nature. You can choose to do the actives such as horseback riding, learning about the hotel's history, ping pong, hiking, or spending your time relaxing and taking in the views. The food and service were both excellent. The wifi was fast and reliabile. Tip, make sure to reserve your time slot for the jacuzzi.

Conveniently located 10 km from Sucre International Airport, Casa del Viajero offers accommodation featuring free WiFi throughout the property. The city centre of Quito is 16 km away. Perfect location for go birding at Papallacta or Antisana. Very nice hosts.

Featuring comfortable and luxurious suites, an on-site restaurant with cozy fireplaces and an extensive garden, Hacienda Jimenita Wildlife Reserve offers free Wi-Fi. It was a lovely bird-friendly hacienda that let me check in after I arrived at 6 am in Quito. They arranged an airport pick up for me, fed me breakfast at no charge while I watched hummingbirds and Southern Yellow Grossbeaks at the feeders. There were short trails and outdoor sitting areas. It was a great way to adjust to the altitude and enjoy myself for a day before heading to the rainforest. The room was lovely. A beautiful spot on the edge of a ravine. I saw lots of birds and enjoyed the scenery.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The location is perfect for flying in and out of the city. Will definitely be staying here again.
