La Casona Las Cinco Calderas is a 17th century noble house converted into a rural hotel, located in the Cantabrian coastal countryside. It is on the route of the Camino de Santiago del Norte. This is a really beautiful place. Set in lovely gardens, immaculately renovated and furnished. Staff are welcoming and helpful. We didn’t want to leave!

This beautiful country house is surrounded by 3000 m² of gardens in Suesa, less than 4 km from the beaches at Somo. It features an ideal setting for hiking. Excellent family owned hotel superbly located in the village. Greeting letter in English. Nice touch. Lovely room with balcony overlooking extensive well cared for garden. Safe parking on site. Excellent continental style breakfast. Comfortable public areas. Lovely old building full of character. Spotlessly clean which is very impressive considering all the old beams and nooks and crannies.

It is at a walking distance from grocery, restaurants, bars and shops. It is also very close to the main beaches of the area that are ideal for surfing. The room was very equipped, including air conditioning. Bathroom was big and extremely clean. A small breakfast with coffee/tea, soft drink and croissants/bread/yogurt was available for only 2,50 euro. The staff was extremely gentle and kind. It is the real added value of the hotel!

Set in Loredo, 1.3 km from Playa de Loredo, Posada La Merced offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Fabulous setting and a lovely house, the host Maria Luz is friendly and attentive. The breakfast is fabulous including freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly made coffee, ham, cheese, pastries etc. It is an easy walk into Laredo and the beach, and the road is street lit so no worries at night, wonderful.

Hotel Vijanera is located 500 metres from Galizano beach and 3 km from Langre beach and the Cabo de Ajo cliff. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, free private parking and an à la carte restaurant. Staff was really friendly, great restaurant. It was a nice stay.

Bemon Playa Hotel sijaitsee Somon kaupungissa lahden toisella puolella Santanderista katsoen. Hotelli on vain 150 metrin päässä pitkältä hiekkarannalta. Location was excellent, really near Somo beach and bars as well as a supermarket. The room was spacious and had a small balcony. The staff could not do enough to help with any query or request, they were truly excellent.

Located in Loredo, Hotel Costa Mar offers beachfront accommodation 600 metres from Playa de Loredo and provides various facilities, such as a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Really clean hotel with great cafe for snack staff were great.
