Delicious sloe gin and what a meal - exceptional dinner and such a lovely range of choices at breakfast. Toiletries smelt gorgeous and we could have stayed for longer - 1 night was not enough!

Really enjoyable stay. We were made to feel really welcome and the room was super, with a comfy four poster bed and large separate bathroom. The room was really clean with lovely decor. We loved the small bar area downstairs with a roaring fire. Also had a three course dinner in the restaurant Saturday night. Food was more than a cut above normal pub fayre (think smaller, beautifully presented portions and very high quality ingredients)- for example I had guineau fowl. All the food was delicious, as was the cooked breakfast the next morning. To cap it off, we were offered walking maps and walked to Chipping Camden and Dover's Hill direct from the Hotel - with the offer of being picked up if we got lost!

I needn't have worried - the whole experience was impeccable - from checking in, to the evening meal and breakfast the following day. The rooms were lovely, beautifully fitted out and very comfortable, and the staff were all great. Great value for money as well.

The beautiful room called Loveage we stayed in was divine. The restaurants, the spa, the chill out lounge spaces through to the garden walks. All staff were exceptional, soo helpful always. We adored our stay here for 3 nights and are obsessed with Thyme!!

A nice central apartment for trips around Gloucester and Gloucestershire. The location was spoilt a little by the numerous beggars outside and in the vicinity of tha apartment. A few niggling faults in the apartment but as I think we were probably the first to stay there and sure that these will be rectified. The Amberley Inn is in a beautiful location just off Minchinhampton common. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with pastries, fruit pots, local yoghurts, and freshly cooked English breakfast with Gloucestershire black spot sausage and bacon, mushroom, fried bread and poached egg. I enjoyed evening meal there too with the seafood gumbo.

Rooms could do with a bit of work, partly because the hotel is so vast and the upkeep must be an enormous task, but the facilities are basically very nice. Welcoming for dogs.
