Secret hideaway. Loved the rural atmosphere with horses in the field behind and the lovely little pond in front. The space was clean, comfortable and hi tech. Loved the hot tub that was ready to enjoy when we arrived. It was a quiet peaceful night of sleep.

Very comfy bed, a well equipped kitchenette, a very large and well appointed bathroom and a private entrance from the garden. Parking was excellently located and just a few steps from the room. The grounds are very pleasant although fairly limited as to how far you can go along the river. When we arrived (a bit earlier than planned) we got the room pretty quickly and were shown around. Due to the Covid situation no breakfast is served but we had a well organized kitchenette with a coffee machine (with capsules) and fresh milk in the fridge. A large Morrison's just a short drive away, so organizing meals in the room wasn't an issue. Location ideal for driving into the city and the train station is close by if you want to avoid the traffic and parking problems in town. Highly recommend visiting the Dalkeith Country park close by for beautiful walks!

The location was brilliant as we were going to a wedding at the castle. The pottery was so cosy and ticked all the boxes, both of the owners were so welcoming and attentive. We even got lucky with the chickens and had fresh eggs! We will definitely be returning. 5*****

Perfect base to explore Edinburgh as the property is located close enough to the city but is surrounded by pretty farmlands. We drove to Gorebridge station, parking is free and took a train to Edinburgh Waverley sation which is in the heart of the city in less than 30 mins.. made exploring Edimburgh easy and stressfree. The hosts; Samantha and Stefan were very helpful before and during our stay. Thank you for hosting us. Will stay again.
