Beaumont Hotel is situated in the heart of the market town of Hexham, less than 10 minutes’ walk to the rail station. Understated elegance in every aspect, and outstanding quality in every aspect as well! Rooms - size, decor, amenities, view, rooftop patio for one of our rooms, both rooms just wonderful! A very nice, new, efficient, quiet, elevator Parking - right in front of the hotel ! Location - across from a beautiful park and close to town center Food - beyond excellent !! Dinner, breakfast, wine list far exceeded expections!! Value for cost: while not , definitely feel like we received extremely high quality service, lodging,, food and drink for the price Owner/Manager Roger - went above and beyond, sharing menu information, wine suggestions, food options for our two 9 year old children The rest of the staff were equally inviting and helpful at all times, from our reception host on 6/15 to the he lady staff member who helped me find more sugar at 0500 on 6/16 to our waitstaff. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our trip to England, all of the same "level", and this hotel far exceeded all others on this trip, and definitely in the top 5 of all hotels in our lifetime travels in terms of the combination of all factors that make a stay pleasant - elegance, quality, amenities, convenience, service. In the heart of the historic market town of Barnard Castle, The Three Horseshoes Hotel is a 17th century building less than a mile from the River Tees. Helpful staff and rooms were clean and comfortable.

Situated in the village of Armathwaite with its views of Cumbria Pennine fells and the River Eden, The Dukes Head is a traditional country Inn where guests can enjoy a drink, traditional meal and... Great welcome, lovely clean room if a little small, excellent breakfast. Superb location.

The Greenhead Hotel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Greenhead. This 3-star hotel offers a business centre and free WiFi. Great hotel conveniently located for hiking Hadrian’s wall. The attached restaurant had delicious food. We actually ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The rooms looked like they had just been updated. There were picnic tables outside the property so we could enjoy the nice weather.

Featuring a bar and free WiFi, The Fir Tree Country Hotel is located in Fir Tree. There is a restaurant serving British cuisine, and free private parking is available. Comfortable bed. Lovely clean room and bathroom. Food in restaurant was excellent.

Boasting a garden, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, High Force Hotel is situated in Newbiggin, 25 km from Bowes Museum and 30 km from Raby Castle. Amazing stay. Spotlessly clean, great food and lovely atmosphere.

Featuring a bar, The Victorian Tap is set in Hexham in the Northumberland region, 35 km from MetroCentre and 35 km from Theatre Royal. Staff were really nice. Room was really big and comfortable. Powerful shower, perfect.

Situated in Brough, 34 km from Askham Hall, Wilding Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. We know the property has just been refurbished and all is brand new- but it has all been done to the highest standard possible. It is a family run hotel and everyone pulls together. It is both rustic and stylish and there wasn’t anything that I saw that I didn’t like. Even the door cards were made of bamboo! The rooms are beautiful and the bed head boards were my favourite thing! Solid pieces of wood- so natural but stunning. Comfortable beds with amazing pillows! Beautiful decor - not fussy, just stylish and classy. Rooms cleaned/beds made daily and a lovely touch was having slippers waiting for you on a tray where you leave your shoes, and COMPLIMENTARY soft drinks in the fridge, to have whenever you fancied them. Now that is a first 🥰 and beautiful thick heavy bath towels. There’s a great choice of rooms- double/king/ family/ small double all very tastefully decorated - and 2 Bridal suites to choose from on the top floor with amazing en suite bathrooms. There are 2 gorgeous accessible rooms in the bungalow further down the drive too. The staff were brilliant- so accommodating and friendly. Excellent helpful welcoming staff Wonderful restful ambiance. Views from the room were amazing. Grounds and buildings were meticulously maintained Best and SAFEST shower we had on our 3 week+ trip We enjoyed walking twice to the nearby Farlam church and cemetary Hotel was close to Hadrian's Wall which we enjoyed thoroughly on our last day

The place was beautiful, staff were so friendly We had food on the night time in The Smithy restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was tasty and well served. We opted for the traditional breakfast in the morning as part of our stay that was top quality
