The Crown Inn Pooley Bridge has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Pooley Bridge. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. Lovely property, we travelled with my elderly father and he had the accessibility room and slept really well in the main building and had no complaints. The staff were excellent, room lovely and clean, breakfast was a full English and eggs Benedict, both cooked perfectly.

It was a good sized room, clean, and in a great location (close to everything). Staff was friendly and the room had everything I needed for a short stay.

Located in Penrith in Cumbria, just 7 miles from the Lake District Park, The Lounge Hotel & Bar offers a restaurant and a bar, just 5 miles from Lake Ullswater. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. The breakfast was very good. Particularly liked sitting in the terrace garden at the back of the property, unexpectedly nice and a hidden oasis. Great location right in the middle of the town and near the station.

Just outside of Penrith, the Brantwood Hotel is less than 3 miles from Ullswater. Just one mile from the junction 40 of M6 it offers en suite bedrooms and TVs. We loved that this felt like a truely authentic English Hotel experience. Delicious hearty food, friendly staff and beautifully decorated.

Evening meal & breakfast really good. Room a little dated but bathroom/shower very good. Traditional bar/pub excellent, I wish I lived a lot nearer.

The Roundthorn Country House and luxury self-catering Mews Apartments are set in landscaped gardens, with panoramic views of the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells. First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.
