Located in Newton Mearns in Glasgow, Southside district, Parklands Hotel & Country Club is 10 miles from Glasgow city centre. The receptionist (Ron! Give this man a raise please) is the kindest, funniest and most lovely Scot I came across here, maybe even the most lovely person of the UK, we had such a warm welcome by him, definitely an amazing way to kick off your stay! The other staff is also very very helpful and amongst the kindest I’ve ever come across in my years of traveling. Well that is just the beginning, now come the rooms. The decor is absolutely amazing, super warm and cozy. The bed is absurdly comfortable and big and the bathroom is extremely clean and modern. The corridors are clean and look very safe because they’re well equipped with a lot of firedoors, there’s carpet and look very safe and cozy just like the room.

Each breakfast was a treat to start the day. The hotel staff's relentless efforts to ensure guests feel valued were apparent throughout. A visit to Oban? The staff in particular were friendly, knowledgeable about the area and facilities and couldn’t do more for you. The food was absolutely fabulous as well. Definitely one of the best breaks I’ve had in years.

The Manor House Hotel boasts a fine dining restaurant, drawing room, fully licensed bar with outdoor terrace and garden. A cooked Full Scottish and à la carte breakfast can be enjoyed at the property.... The Manor House Hotel is a charming property, with thoughtful, modern details in the rooms (direct USB connections for devices, for e.g.) and beautiful views, but what makes it truly exceptional is the team that runs it. Daniel and Beatrice were gracious and friendly hosts, but it was David who truly stood out, offering superlative, personalised service. We were a large group, including 4 teenagers, and both David and Steven were amazing in dealing with them. The adults in the group could truly relax and not worry about the kids as we could see that they were safe and well taken care of. The property also has an excellent fine dining restaurant on the premises, we had a fantastic dinner there and also great breakfasts. I must also commend the back-end staff, obviously the kitchen was brilliant, and housekeeping was spotless during our stay.
