At the end of a road lies the Steam Packet Inn. I don't have room for all the great things to say. Our room was contemporary, comfortable, crisp and clean and overlooked the bay. Unique local beers. The restaurant was phenomenal absolutely phenomenal. When I asked our server if the food was local, she pointed across the bay and said " The house on the left is where the vegetables come from." We did some local hikes along stunning sea cliffs before returning to the inn for tea. It's a bit of a haul to get there but I would definitely do it again. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. I won't make that mistake again! Thanks to all the staff who made our stay feel relaxed and welcoming. And don't forget the food, book early!

Este hotel de gestión familiar está situado en Newton Stewart, una encantadora ciudad escocesa a orillas del río Cree. I was very comfortable and slept well. The room was clean and spacious. The location was great and gave me access to everything I wanted to do and easy walks to places for dining, shopping, activities and bus stops.

El The Stag Hoose se encuentra en Glenluce, en la región de Dumfries y Galloway, y ofrece balcón y vistas al jardín. Me and my son loved this place, the owners are lovely, beautiful surroundings in the country side, our dog had a lot of fun exploring our own pet friendly garden which is all enclosed to each lodge privately, the hot tub was amazing and even though it rained here and there…we were able to still use as it’s got a roof to keep u protected, they even left us a little valentines card on arrival, plenty of extras u can get and great prices, no need to take wood as there is wood to buy at the lodge and not expensive at all, the fire pit is also lovely, my fave part at night, they also supply a separate bbq, we never used due to the time of year, highly recommend “the pub” (actual name) only 15 min drive and good prices if u fancy a meal out, our favourite trip so far and we’ve done glamping trips before, can’t wait to return, highly recommend :)

Adrian and Dot are terrific hosts! We were so impressed how they refurbished these ancient buildings into such beautiful places to stay. We stayed in the main house, but they also have a beautiful separate house. Outstanding property. Beautiful views, comfy stay, and great breakfast.
