Situated in Isle of Whithorn, The Steam Packet Inn offers 2-star accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and a bar. At the hotel, rooms include a wardrobe. Great location, lovely & quiet. Our room had a terrific view over the harbour and seats from which to enjoy it. Convivial bar and dinner was as good as I've had in Scotland. Better swordfish than I've had in Italy - chef to be really recommended. Worth going just for the grub - 10/10. STaff were helpful & friendly even though probbaly short of numbers. Top spot and I want to go again.

This family-run hotel is situated in Newton Stewart, a charming Scottish town on the River Cree. With free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking on site, it is around 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre.... There was no breakfast, given the price. It was very easy to go to Sainsbury's and buy some items. What an excellent base to have a look at Galloway and it was very easy to find my way around. I need to return and explore the surroundings even more.

Me and my son loved this place, the owners are lovely, beautiful surroundings in the country side, our dog had a lot of fun exploring our own pet friendly garden which is all enclosed to each lodge privately, the hot tub was amazing and even though it rained here and there…we were able to still use as it’s got a roof to keep u protected, they even left us a little valentines card on arrival, plenty of extras u can get and great prices, no need to take wood as there is wood to buy at the lodge and not expensive at all, the fire pit is also lovely, my fave part at night, they also supply a separate bbq, we never used due to the time of year, highly recommend “the pub” (actual name) only 15 min drive and good prices if u fancy a meal out, our favourite trip so far and we’ve done glamping trips before, can’t wait to return, highly recommend :)

Great location between Wigtown and the Bladnoch Distillery. The house was immaculate and nicely decorated. My wife is a gardener and really appreciated all the fresh flowers inside. This was our first trip since COVID and we had some special needs that our hosts graciously accommodated. Best place we stayed during our vacation.

Beautiful wooden house, magnificent view, great bed and nice kitchen. Everything you need to relax a couple of days. Milk, juice and a homemade cake at arrival. Great hosts!

Amazing family that loves what they do. Nice people. Great and clean book themed room. Hugh food portions for dinner and breakfast. Come prepared for real home cooking. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Cairndoon Byre is set in Monreith, 39 km from Stranraer and 42 km from Portpatrick. Free private parking is available on site. All rooms have a TV with satellite channels. this was a beautiful place to stay.

The Harbour Inn features a garden, restaurant, a bar and tennis court in Garlieston. The property is non-smoking and is set a few steps from Garlieston Beach. Beautiful location, lovely room with thick carpets, a comfortable bed, and a decent sized shower, and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. The on-site bar and restaurant were friendly and welcoming.
