The staff is very welcoming and we had a very comfortable stay. There is a designer outlet nearby in walking distance (6-8 mins) so it is super convenient to get everything. Really enjoy the stay and think it's a fantastic choice to save budget from super expensive accommodations in Edinburgh!

Just off the M8 motorway between Edinburgh and Glasgow, Best Western The Hilcroft Hotel West Lothian offers free parking, modern rooms with free Wi-Fi, and an on-site bar and restaurant. This was our first stop after flying over from Canada, so it was a great spot to recover from the jetlag. The restaurant was good and the location was convenient for going to check out the town and to get to the bus stop.

Set in Bathgate, 24 km from Hopetoun House, Fairway Hotel offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Friendly, polite staff; cozy room; atmospheric bar; great restaurant and wonderful breakfast. The best combination of quality and price during my trip!

In beautiful, peaceful grounds, between Edinburgh and Glasgow, this 4-star hotel is rich in historic charm, with a restaurant, a bar and great leisure facilities, including an 18-metre swimming pool. Large property. Had a gym and a pool to use. Restaurant was good and they served a great breakfast. Rooms were spacious. Property is a short distance from the train station so can get into Edinburgh in about 20 minutes by train.

The Mercure Livingston is a 15-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport and 2 miles from junction 3 of the M8 motorway. It has a brasserie, a restaurant, and free parking. Breakfast was great and buying it the night before was much cheaper

In the centre of Livingston, Livingston Lodge Hotel has hotel rooms with a private shower room and free WiFi access. It also has free parking. Good location if one wants to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow, and wants to have an affordable accommodation. The train station is just 10 min walking distance and it takes additional 20 min by train to reach the city. The public pub serves good pub food and there is a grocery shop and lovely sandwich/pastry shop nearby (you have to grab their bacon roll for breakfast).

Court Residence Aparthotel offers suites in Linlithgow's historic town centre. The property is only a 15-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. The location was fabulous. We were able to walk to restaurants as well as points of interest. The property itself was stunning as the charm of an old courthouse has been retained. We were a group of 7 and all three rooms were different. Our room had the original beautiful wooden shutters that folded over the inside of the windows and our friends had a family room that contained a jail cell room. The bathroom floors were heated and we had a lovely walk in shower. The rooms have been renovated to a very high standard.

Located in Livingston and only 22 km from Hopetoun House, The Nest, Livingston provides accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. The apartment was clean and fresh and very well equipped. Parking was available and access was via a lockbox key, so very straight forward. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi was free and worked. I would recommend staying here without hesitation.
