Marina is an exceptional host that will try to do everything to make you feel like home. The rooms are big and clean with a mini fridge, hot plate, electric water heater, dishes and glasses. We had a front porch with table and chairs and a balcony with two benches and a table. You can park right in front of your room so you can check your car anytime. You can also relax at the pool which is child appropriate (60cm one side/2metres on the other) at any hour day or night.

I really enjoyed staying at Electra Suites on my recent trip to Samothraki! I only got to stay for two nights but will definitely go back next time I visit the island. Stelios is a generous host and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good trip– in fact, on my first day, he actually drove me around the island himself so that I could visit the Sanctuary of the Great Gods and Chora! Even with the language barrier, we had a pleasant time conversing via Google Translate. The other staff at the hotel were friendly and made me feel at home. Overall, a lovely group of people to spend a long weekend with. I value peace & quiet when I travel, and so I appreciated staying somewhere without street traffic or restaurant sounds that was still close to the amenities. Stelios recommended a taverna with good food about a five minute walk from the restaurant, and I went back there several times. The name was Sta Kala Kathoumena and the walk takes you through the church's courtyard. If you can, I do recommend renting a car or a motorbike to get around the island– I came during the off-season and didn't realize how limited the public transit options were. I appreciated Stelios taking the time to drive me around, but I also knew he was busy running the hotel! The taxi stand on the waterfront is an easy walk- bring cash. I also spotted a scooter rental on the main drag. I have trouble sleeping, and felt very safe walking around Kamariotissa at night while trying to settle my thoughts. Stay aware of your surroundings and carry a flashlight for visibility, as there are few sidewalks in the side streets and you'll want to quickly get out of the way when people are driving through. Wherever you are in the village, you'll be able to see Mt. Saos or the sea. Rooms: The rooms were very clean, comfortable and modern. Set on a hill, just 20 metres away from the beach of Kamariotisa, Aeolos Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi surrounded by flowery gardens. The hotel is at excellent location. Beautiful sunsets to enjoy from your room patio! We were off season and they were remodeling the swimming pool, but the weather although good was not for swimming anyway :-). So, next year there will be brand new pool to enjoy. Special thanks to Sofia. She went far and beyond to make our stay as good as it was. Located in the area of Palaiopolis, Samothraki Village Hotel offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and separate children’s pool overlooking the Thracian Sea. Sofia is a good person and the hotel is the best of its kind on the island.

The 3-star Niki Beach Hotel is located in Kamariotissa, right across the beach and only 500 metres from Samothraki’s port. Rooms come with private balcony, and Wi-Fi is free throughout. Everything. Good location friendly staff and very comfortable room.

Just 300 metres from Therma Beach, Orpheus Hotel features spacious rooms with forest views from their balcony. There is a sun terrace that is surrounded by blossoming bushes and trees. The hotel is in a great location close to everything but nice and quiet. The host, Christos and his staff and lovely and extremely helpful with local knowledge. We would definitely stay here again.
