Very lucky to be driven about the island by one of the brothers and had a nice chat about past and present of the land, history, culture, religion, anything and everything, over delicious Greek food, ouzo was too strong for me though… The most important thing we can give other people is time, so thank you for spending time with me, foreigner, tourist and total stranger. Privileged to be treated ‘the Greek way’. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

The host supplied a selection of fruit and juice and biscuits, which was so lovely. I hiked to Avlaki every day, which is the most beautiful place. Hot springs, big volcanic rocks, concrete jetty for sunbaking. So special!

Nikia is a beautiful village especially off season and the location of the studio is wonderful and the views from the roof spectacular. The space is big and clean and the location is great if you want to hike down to the caldera before the tour buses arrive at 11qm.
