The place is basic, bed and rudimentary bathroom, but the location, the host and the activities made our days here the best part of our trip!! And his wife makes delicious meals too :) I have no words to describe everything we experienced here but I will try… If you can’t travel with the local boat, for an extra price, Jeki (the host and guide) can come pick you up and drop you off. Also for an extra, he will take you on an amazing day of activities. Worth it!!! We started by going to Padar Island which had tourists but was beautiful. The rest of the trip we were alone. Jeki spotted manta fish and we swan with 17 of them!! Pink beach and Makassar point also stunning and had them all for ourselves. Finally we went to look for komodos. We say eight of them right behind the village! Since we had time we also walked around the village and got to meet families and play football with the boys. We would have stayed for days!!

The homestay is really cozy. Food is fresh and delicious. People are friendly. It's the best option if you'd like to experience how the local life is. All in all, you'll get a totally customized trip. Just stay with Erjun!

Komodo Resort is located on Sebayur Island bordering Komodo National Park, an hour’s boat ride from the Komodo Dragon Tour on Rinca Island. A secluded paradise. The rooms were nice and the service was great. Delicious food in the a la carte restaurant. Excellent diving instructors!

We are a French couple and tried this genuine experience for 3 nights on beg December 2023. We are very happy and recommend it, but we believe it must be clear what to and not to expect. We hope the details below will help other travelers. First challenge is to contact Jahiding, the lovely host who is also a komodo ranger. You will get his WhatsApp once you book the stay. Once on the Island, Jahiding will take care of you from A to Z, he stayed with us as the guide during the tours we planed with him and the captain. It's a private small boat (meaning not big) and you can choose where to go and how long you stay at each spot. We believe It was a privilege compared to other tours with dozens of people and timed visits. -Transportation The main challenge is to get to komodo Island with the "phantom" public boat that nobody knows about. It does exist and is actually located in a separate Harbour. Here is the GPS location : -8.484518,119.876788 The name is "TPI Kampung Ujung port". There is a smelly fish market to go through, not hard to miss. Price is 100k IDR if captain does not try to charge the tourist fee. You have to ask people around the boat if it is the correct one as there is no ticket to buy in advance nor any special desk. Just hope on the boat once you are sure it is the right one and pay when you arrive. The boat is mid size and around 20-30 people make the trip. It is not a ferry, it is much smaller, around 20 meters long and 4 meters wide and only one deck with shade. Transport takes 4h and is noisy (depends on the boat you have), travelers are komodo residents which are all very kind. Be prepared for basic confort, no seat no bench, just boat wood. No toilet break neither. The boat schedule as Jahiding told us is as such, and you will have to plan your stay based on this. From Labuan to Komodo Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Between 9am and 11am. From Komodo to Labuan Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday between 9am and 10am.

Angel Island Eco Resort offers a great tropical escape on a private Bidadari Island, which is located about a 30-minute boat ride from Labuan Bajo. Amazing Island resort that is led by wonderful Ms. Kate and her team of kind employees. On the Island, you have a private beach, an excellent cook, great snorkeling, and a peaceful vacation. Food is amazing and everything is on the level. Even the design of the cottages is very impressive.

Located along Labuan Bajo Beach, The Jayakarta Suites Komodo Flores offers luxurious accommodation surrounded by tropical greenery. It features a dive club offering programs for divers of all levels. Even though it was off-season, the staff were attentive, wonderful and accommodating, the property was amazingly well maintained and super clean. The room attendant paid attention to detail and even laid slippers out for me after a day tour. The room was spacious. They provided a shuttle to my next stay instead of a return to the airport without me requesting it. Convenient and no hassle. Well worth the price to stay. I’ll be honest, don’t expect a beautiful beach to leisure at, but it’s nice for a stroll and pool is fantastic. Pool towels were handed to me with a warm smile. Everyone had a welcoming smile and were ready to meet my requests. It was a great place to relax. I ordered diners from Grab which was so convenient.

Few, but far from all, of the highlights: spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. great food at the hotel restaurant, free for the breakfast and priced very reasonable for lunches and dinners. amazingly friendly and helpful staff, very nice pool area with perfect temperature. Very clean, private beach with bean bag/umbrella set ups for guests. Lush green gardens and so many more great details. We were so positively surprised by this hotel and by Labuan Bajo as a whole, that we’ll be back for sure.

Wonderful, very nicely designed and cared for hotel with great staff in a beautiful area. It’s very clean and has nice amenities. Breakfast was very good.

Everything! The place is beautiful. The highlight is the coral reef and the snorkeling. I was lucky to see a shark, turtle and baby sharks in mid January ( the rains were delayed ). I was staying in the glamping hut and it was lovely. This island is like a dream and I’ve already convinced 3 other friends to go. Food was pretty decent as well!

Situated on a private area of Pede Beach, Luwansa Beach Hotel houses an outdoor pool with sun loungers and accommodation with sea views. It also provides a complimentary airport transfer service. Clean and tidy room. Very helpful staff, helped us book a Komodo trip. They also provided us packed breakfast for the following morning, which was very nice. They also provided us free airport transfers.
